Miley Cyrus On Two and A Half Men

Miley Cyrus Snags Recurring Guest Role On Two and A Half Men. It looks like country singer/teen queen Miley Cyrus will be returning to the small screen. Rumor (as in, take this with a grain of salt) has it that she is slated for a recurring guest role on the long-running CBS sitcom, Two and A Half Men. Apparently, the 19 year old, who recently announced her engagement to Liam Hemsworth, will play the love interest for teenage character, Jake Harper. It doesn’t stop there though, there is supposedly a love triangle in the works as Ashton Kutcher’s character harbors a bit of a crush on the young woman. I’m sorry, but that’s just a little creepy. So, kind of hoping that that part isn’t true, but kudos to her if she really landed the role! I wonder if this means noone should be expecting new music from Miley anytime soon. She recently released a video for her Bob Dylan cover, and it seemed she was getting back in touch with her country roots a little. Maybe it was just a quick detour? What do you think about Cyrus’ return to television? Comment below!

New Music From Miley Cyrus?

Miley Cyrus Releases Video for Cover of Bob Dylan Song. Well, it looks like Miley Cyrus might be making an effort to get back to those country roots of hers…even if it is by covering someone else’s music. The Hannah Montana star has released a video for her cover of Bob Dylan‘s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go“, and it is currently featured on CMT (but you can watch it below!). This particular cover is featured on the second of a 4-disc tribute album titled Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan (Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International) from whose proceeds a portion will actually be donated to Amnesty International. Now Bob Dylan is definitely Americana, folkish, but not always necessarily country, certainly not the mainstream country Miley is connected to. However, Cyrus fills in plenty of twang and slow guitar in this to give it her own country feel. I have to say though, that while her efforts to be involved with Amnesty International are comendable, I’m not really buying the country angle from her right now. Do you we all remember what she subjected us to in 2010, “Can’t Be Tamed” (which CMT also featured)? Well, if you don’t remember, good for you because it was awful (If you’re curious though, you can watch it below). Miley experienced quite a few embarrassments awhile back (from this video to awkward Lindsey Lohan-esque party escapades), and I think she may just be using the country platform to claw her way back into the good graces of the American public. Or maybe she’s grown up, and it’s a genuine interest in exploring her country roots (grew up in TN…her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus…). Who knows? I guess we will just have to wait and see. In the meantime, watch the two videos and let us know what you think! Check out Miley’s New Video Below. Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray up close with AOL

Miley Cyrus teams up with father Billy Ray Cyrus for a very special AOL Session performance Miley Cyrus is killing the billboard charts with her current hit single “The Climb” and at the same time she’s dominating the box office with her newly released film “Hannah Montana: The Movie“, and now in a special performance at AOL Sessions, Miley demonstrates that she’s more than just a tweener pop icon. Miley slips out of the manufactured rockstar  image and lets a truly special and authentic performance shine through. I haven’t ever been a Miley fan myself, perhaps because having two young daughters has just led me to become supersaturated with her material, so this performance caught me off guard in such a surprisingly good way. Tell me what you think? Has Miley channeled a little Stevie Nicks on the stage or what? Catch more of this Miley Cyrus AOL Session now!Country Music Photo Gallery
