Crystal Bowersox Makes Spontaneous Debut at the Grand Ole Opry Season 9 American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox made a surprise debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry last Friday. Bowersox who was visiting backstage at an Oak Ridge Boys performance, was invited onstage by segment host Vince Gill. “We do things out here for an awful lot of different reasons, but one is spontaneity, one is fun. I went to the management and said, ‘Why don’t we do the Southern gentlemanly thing and invite her to sing a song on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry?’” Vince Gill Bowersox sang an original song, written for her husband, “Mine All Mine” while accompanying herself on Gill’s acoustic guitar. Ricky Skaggs Announces 2011 Treasure Chest Tour Fourteen-time Grammy Award winner, Ricky Skaggs has announced March 18 as the kick off date for his 2011 Treasure Chest Tour starting in Prestonsburg, Kentucky with additional dates to be decided in the upcoming weeks. Skaggs will be joined on tour by his band Kentucky Thunder, and will feature his classic country hits as well as some of his famous bluegrass tunes. “I think it’s going to be a great show, a great tour, and people are getting really excited about it, so we’re excited about it.” – Ricky Skaggs Skaggs most recent album Mosaic was released in 2010.

Brad Paisley Announces Kick-Off of His 2011 Tour, H20 II World Tour presented by Chevy CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley has announced he will be kicking off his 2011 tour, H20 II World Tour, May 28th at Heinz Field in Pittsburg, PA. The international tour is sponsored by Chevrolet and will cover 33 cities in the U.S and abroad including London, Dublin, Stockholm and more. Paisley’s tour takes the concert experience to the next level and beyond bringing back the fan favorite “Water World Plaza” from his 2010 tour, which transforms every city into a water festival! The “Water World Plaza Stage” will be the heart of the event featuring musical performances, and other exciting attractions will include a Chevy H20 FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, slip n slide and other fun water games. Chevy is also offering a driving simulator for fans to test the latest Corvette ZR1, and at the end of the day the fan with the highest score will have the opportunity to meet Paisley in person! Joining Paisley on his tour are several talented artists including: CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Blake Shelton, known for any of his many number one hits like “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking“, as well as, Jerrod Niemann, known for his smash hit “Lover, Lover“.
