A familiar song with a new purpose

According to the announcement supplied by CookMedia, Grow joins Tippin on the re-recording, while the forthcoming video brings the song into a conversation about loss and the families affected by fentanyl.

“Man, I’m so excited that Sam Grow agreed to sing with me on my old hit ‘My Blue Angel,'” said Tippin. “He brought a whole new life to it. We can’t wait for everyone to see the video for it. It has an important message about the Fentanyl epidemic in America and the toll it’s taking on families. Together we have to do all we can to make a change and to save lives.”

Both the single and video arrive October 23, giving fans a chance to revisit the song through a collaboration that connects two generations of country artists.

Where to follow the release

Tippin’s catalog includes “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong With the Radio” and “Kiss This.” Grow brings his own recording career to the pairing, giving longtime Tippin listeners another artist to explore when the track arrives.
