<p><i><strong>“…A GORGEOUS SOLO ALBUM THAT PROMISES TO PLACE HIM IN THE TOP ECHELON OF THIS CENTURY’S YOUNG TROUBADOURS…”</strong></i></p>
<p>A new live acoustic video of <strong><a title="Brent Cobb" href="https://countrymusicontour.com/brent-cobb-extends-us-tour/">Brent Cobb</a></strong> performing “<strong>Solving Problems</strong>” is premiering today at <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwuapaejjjwadawsbanaebseu/click.php"><i><strong>American Songwriter</strong></i></a> and can be viewed/shared <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywweacaejjjwazawsbanaebseu/click.php">HERE</a>.</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-large wp-image-33285" src="http://www.countrymusicnewsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/brentcobb-224x150.png" alt="brentcobb" width="224" height="150" />“Solving Problems” is the lead track from <strong>Cobb</strong>’s anticipated major label debut, <i><strong>Shine On Rainy Day</strong></i>, which is out <strong>October 7</strong> on <strong>Low Country Sound/Elektra Records </strong>(<a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwmalaejjjwalawsbaoaebseu/click.php">pre-order</a>). Already receiving acclaim, <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwjaiaejjjwalawsbataebseu/click.php">NPR Music</a>’s Ann Powers praises, “‘Solving Problems’ is emblematic of the calm insights Cobb offers on <i>Shine On Rainy Day</i>, an album genuinely worthy of comparisons to often-invoked names like <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwbaoaejjjwarawsbaiaebseu/click.php">Jesse Winchester</a> and <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwhapaejjjwacawsbacaebseu/click.php">Kris Kristofferson</a>.”</p>
<p>Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer <strong>Dave Cobb</strong> (<a title="Chris Stapleton" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSStapleton/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fchris-stapleton-tickets%2F">Chris Stapleton</a>, <a title="Jason Isbell" href="https://countrymusicontour.com/jason-isbell-and-the-400-unit-at-radio-city-music-hall/">Jason Isbell</a>, etc.), the album was recorded live over four days in Nashville.</p>
<p>In celebration of the release, Brent will embark on an extensive tour this fall supporting Anderson East and, on October 15, will join <a title="Chris Stapleton" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSStapleton/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fchris-stapleton-tickets%2F">Chris Stapleton</a> for a special show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre. See below for complete details.</p>
<p>Of the music and working with producer (and cousin) Dave Cobb, Brent comments, “It’s not as good as it’s going to get. But if it’s the last thing that I ever do, if I died the day after it came out, then thank God I was able to record it because the songs and the production, it was everything I wanted to say. Finally.”</p>
<p>Dave adds, “I wanted to work with Brent for very selfish reasons. When he lifts a pen and opens his mouth, it sounds like home. I did his record because he’s part of the fabric of South Georgia and the soundtrack to my family. Pure rural country soul filled music.”</p>
<p>Already receiving notice, Brent was recently featured on <strong>WXPN</strong>’s<strong> World Café</strong> (listen to the full session <a href="http://t.ymlp17.com/jywwwazaejjjwaaawsbaoaebseu/click.php">here</a>), while <i><strong>Rolling Stone</strong></i> featured him as one of their “30 Must-See Acts” at <a title="CMA Fest" href="https://countrymusicontour.com/2024-cma-fest-lineup/">CMA Fest</a> 2016, asserting, “Live, he’s every bit the charming raconteur, setting up catchy rural anthems that have the loose and earthy feel of a front porch sing-along.” Additionally, earlier this year, Brent was featured on Dave’s widely praised <i><strong>Southern Family</strong></i><i> </i>compilation—contributing the song “Down Home” and writing the standout “Sweet By &; By,” which was recorded by <a title="Miranda Lambert" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSMLambert/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fmiranda-lambert-tickets%2F">Miranda Lambert</a>. Of “Down Home,” <strong>Wide Open Country</strong> declares, “…one of the most earnest and accurate retellings of everyday life in rural Georgia. The mixture of Cobb’s charming southern drawl, brilliant storytelling and flawless production melds into a track that is impossible to resist.”</p>

<p>Born in Ellaville, GA (population 1,609), Brent moved to Nashville in 2008 and has since found widespread success as a writer with songs recorded by Lambert (“Old Shit”), <a title="Kenny Chesney" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSChesney/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fkenny-chesney-tickets%2F">Kenny Chesney</a> (“Don’t It”), <a title="Luke Bryan" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSLukeBryan/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fluke-bryan-tickets%2F">Luke Bryan</a> (“Tailgate Blues”), David Nail (“Grandpa’s Farm”), <a title="Kellie Pickler" href="https://countrymusicontour.com/kellie-pickler-concert-tour-tickets/">Kellie Pickler</a> (“Rockaway”) and <a title="Eli Young Band" href="https://countrymusicontour.com/eli-young-band-concert-tour-tickets/">Eli Young Band</a> (“Go Outside and Dance”) among others.</p>
