This week Amazon Music kicked off Country Music Month, a celebration of music and entertainment, with the introduction of the new “Neon Stars” playlist and a variety of exclusive programming. “We Are Country” will celebrate a full spectrum of country music, including country’s biggest artists and most buzzworthy up-and-comers.
Throughout this month, Amazon Music listeners can listen to the brand-new playlist, “Neon Stars,” which notably highlights artists whose careers launched on social media and showcases the future voices of the genre. “Neon Stars” presents a collection of songs primed for country music discovery that is updated weekly and curated by the genre’s most trusted tastemakers, now available for streaming at https://amzn.to/NeonStars.
“Neon Stars brings together artists who have made impressive imprints on both social media and culture,” said Emily Cohen Belote, principal music curator at Amazon Music. “The playlist is designed to go even bigger with both the country genre and a younger demographic. We’re thrilled to continue highlighting the artists that emerge from these spaces and super-serve their fans.”
Country has long been a top performing genre on Amazon Music. The “Country Heat” playlist has emerged as the genre’s flagship for Amazon Music, reaching millions of customers around the world, and has proven to be a trendsetter for the service. Fans can expect new Country Heat Weekly podcast episodes co-hosted by Amber Anderson and Kelly Sutton throughout the month, with wide-ranging interviews and commentary. The podcast recently kicked off its fourth season with special guest Tim McGraw, with upcoming episodes to feature Darius Rucker (October 5), Riley Green (October 12), Restless Road (October 19), and Ingrid Andress (October 26).
Amazon Music will also present a City Sessions livestream with breakout superstar Bailey Zimmerman on October 13, and Riley Green will star in the Breakthrough Live Takeover livestream on October 17 via the Amazon Music channel on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/amazonmusic. Fans can also hear a new Amazon Music Original, with Megan Moroney sharing an unforgettable cover of Chris Stapleton’s “What Are You Listening To? (Amazon Music Original)” on October 6.
