Scotty McCreery Releases His First Christmas Album in October! Scotty McCreery fans will have extra reason to rejoice over the holidays this year, since their favorite crooner will be releasing his first Christmas Album on October 16th! There are a lot of Christmas tunes out there, but McCreery chose to include those that played a special role in his own life. “Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. And what is Christmas without music? We start listening to Christmas songs early in the McCreery household, so it felt right…“It’s a special thing for me. As a family, we were all really excited about making a Christmas album. Now we can add my CD to the collection we listen to.” -Scotty McCreery The album is titled Christmas with Scotty McCreery, and includes eleven songs that he feels will encourage people to feel good about the holidays. “I just wanted it to be holly and jolly and really lift people’s spirits in the Christmas season because it’s supposed to be a really happy time. But I also wanted to get across the real reason for the season. ‘Christmas in Heaven’ is my favorite song on the album and it really speaks to that.” -Scotty McCreery McCreery’s official site will have an exclusive CD offer for fans to pre-order an autographed copy of the CD, receive a video message from Scotty and enter for a chance to meet or speak to McCreery.

Happy (Belated) 21st Birthday to Hunter Hayes! Hunter Hayes celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday, September 9th, and he spent the day in one of the best ways possible! The young singer/musician headed back to his home state of Louisiana, and performed the National Anthem at the Superdome for the New Orleans Saints‘ game against the Washington Redskins! I can’t imagine how special and how much fun that must have been for the talented Hayes! Not surprisingly his Twitter was blowing with best wishes from his famous buds like @carrieunderwood and @JonDonRooney as well as from his adoring fans. It really is true, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it which must be why Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth will be hosting the 2012 American Country Awards On FOX for the second year running! The two were quite the rabble-rousing duo last year, and both are pretty excited about fulfilling their hosting duties once again! “The ACAs honor the best and brightest of country music, from the hotshot breakthrough artists to the icons.I’m looking forward to cutting loose again with Kristin, who’s quite the firecracker comedienne, while we also take viewers through an evening of great music and awards.” -Trace Adkins “I’m excited to return to the ACA stage with Trace and his big personality and even bigger boots. The band has officially announced that they are expanding their already existing relationship with the popular brand.
