Garth Brooks Sells Out!

Garth Brooks sells out his first round of shows at the Wynn Theater in Vegas and nobody’s surprised! Garth Brooks is without a doubt an icon in country  music. So of course it is with a complete lack of shock that we report the phenomenal sales that were generated within the first few hours of his Vegas show tickets being released!  Tickets for Garth Brooks in Vegas went on sale Saturday October 24th at 8am. By 1pm all available tickets had been sold. Over 5.4 MILLION hits were received on the Wynn’s ticketing website (what I wouldn’t give for those numbers) and phones were ringing off the hook! If you were not able to get tickets the day of release, fear not! More Garth Brooks concert dates will be announced soon, and some tickets will be made available onsite the day of each show. Returned or unclaimed tickets will be released to a stand-by line that will form at the WYNN box office on show days. Beware of scalpers though… The Wynn is taking extra measures to ensure that nobody gets bilked at the door to the show. Taylor Swift Tonight on Dancing With The Stars

Taylor Swift is performing her new single tonight on Dancing With The Stars as ABC goes country. Taylor Swift is all set to debut her latest single “Jump, Then Fall” on tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars on ABC 9pm (et).  This is all part of ABC getting countrified in preparation for the CMA Awards! Other network country star appearances are: Carrie Underwood on Good Morning America Tuesday November 3rd Kellie Pickler on Extreme Makeover Home Edition Sunday November 8th Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley together on Good Morning America Tuesday November 10th Later that evening (11/10), ABC’s Robin Roberts will host “In The Spotlight With Robin Roberts: Bright Lights. Big Stars. All Access Nashville” at 10p (ET). Roberts will interview artists like Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill, Rosanne Cash, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Martina McBride. The special will also be available online at www.abcnews.com, where fans can vote for their favorite country song. Kenny Chesney Rakes It In

Kenny Chesney has topped the list of 2009’s top grossing tours with over $57MILLION in ticket sales alone! Kenny Chesney‘s Sun City Carnival tour raked in $57.6 million in 39 shows total, with an attendance of 848,000 and 96% of the seats filled. This was his shortest tour to date, and he charged the lowest ticket prices of any major headliner this year. He was also the only act on the USA Today list to play NFL stadiums across the country. Kenny Chesney will not be touring in the summer of 2010, but he is scheduled to perform at the Bayou Country Superfest on Memorial Day weekend 2010 and at Bamajam in JUNE 2010. Kenny Chesney Rumored to Join Georgia Theater Benefit With ZBB

Zac Brown Band inspires colleagues as rumors fly that Kenny Chesney has signed on to help save the Georgia Theater! The Georgia Theater is in trouble and needs your help!  Earlier this year the theater suffered a devastating fire, and is now in need of serious restoration funding. The historic venue has been home to infinitely famous bands such as R.E.M, the B-52’s, Drive By Truckers, and of course, the Zac Brown Band. That is why ZBB has stepped up to coordinate a star-studded fundraising event to help rebuild the theater! An all-star lineup of country music artists have signed on to perform at a benefit show at the Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta, GA on October 30th. Proceeds from the event will go directly to rebuilding the historic theater. Confirmed guest performers already include Little Big Town, Joey + Rory, Shawn Mullins, Aslyn, and Oliver Wood. We also have word from a VERY reliable source that Kid Rock, Kelli Pickler, and now Kenny Chesney have also been added to the list! Tim McGraw is in the spotlight on CMT’s ‘Invitation Only’ November 13th. Tim McGraw will be showing off  some tracks from his new album “Southern Voice” as well as some fan favorites from the past as he guest stars on CMT’s “Invitation Only” in the coming weeks. Tickets to see Garth Brooks live in Vegas go on sale Saturday October 24th. Garth Brooks fans are already stalking ticket booths, and screening ticket sites, looking for any advantage they can find in the frenzy to be the first to see his new one-man show in Las Vegas Nevada. Tickets to see Garth Brooks live at the Wynn hotel and casino are supposed to be a flat $125 no matter where you are seated. Terri Clark On Tour

Terri Clark embarks on a 6 week Canadian concert tour! Terri Clark has booked 22 different cities over the next six weeks, and they’ll all be in Canada. When asked about why she’s staying to our north this time, the Canadian native answers “For so many years, my focus has been on the states and it makes sense if you’re on an American label. I love the U.S. very much — and it’s a big part of who I am — but I also miss my homeland. I think as much coming back to myself musically and really investing in all the influences who shaped me, there’s a strong sense of the kind of girl who grew up in a place where believing you could grow up, go to Nashville and become a country singer that can be felt on this record.” Terri Clarks’s latest CD, “The Long Way Home,” will be available in U.S. stores starting today (10/20).
