<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Oklahoma Breakdown &#8211; The Mike Hosty Story will be shown for the first time in Stillwater on February 22nd, 6:30PM at the Stillwater Community Center.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Oklahoma musician Mike Hosty is a one-man band freak of nature who also tells<br>jokes. His musical talents are world-class and his improv skills produce original<br>performances on the fly. When former Stillwater resident Stoney LaRue turned<br>Hosty&#8217;s &#8220;Oklahoma Breakdown&#8221; into the #1 Texas hit of 2007, few knew who<br>wrote it or what genre it came from. The song was also covered by Oklahoma<br>country star Toby Keith.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This documentary reveals why a legend of the underground has reservations on<br>chasing the limelight, when he could be a millionaire.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Hosty is an inspiration for numerous musicians in Oklahoma, and to show his<br>story in the home of Red Dirt music was something I’d always envisioned when</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">putting this film together,” said director Christopher Fitzpatrick. “On February<br>22nd, I finally get to see that vision come to life.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The film has had success along the film festival circuit. The Oklahoma Premiere<br>was at the Oscar-qualifying deadCenterFilm Festival, and has since screened in<br>front of sold out audiences in Norman, Tulsa and Fredericksburg, TX. It also won<br>the Grand Prize at the Lonely Seal Film Festival in Boston, Best Feature at the<br>New Haven Documentary FF, Best Documentary at the Hill Country FF and the<br>Audience Choice Award at the Lone Star FF in Ft. Worth.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fitzpatrick and Hosty will participate in a Q/A session following the movie.<br>Bad Brad’s will provide BBQ and the United Way of Stillwater will host a raffle<br>drawing for a very special Hosty gift pack.
