Nashville-based country vocal group Gloriana was formed in 2007 when brothers (and guitarists) Tom Gossin and Mike Gossin, who had been working as a twosome in the North Carolina area, moved to Nashville and met Rachel Reinert. The vocal chemistry was obvious from the start, and when Cheyenne Kimball joined, the group was set, adding Kimball’s vocal and mandolin skills to the mix. After several months rehearsing and working on their sound, the ensemble sent a demo to Emblem songs Group, a new label just crafted by Matt Serletic. Serletic liked what he heard and signed the quartet, releasing the group’s debut album, the self-titled Gloriana, in 2009.

Gloriana’s Wanna Take You Home Video Released. Gloriana‘s latest video for single “Wanna Take You Home” is quite honestly a boot-stompin’ good time! The video features a back yard party complete with lots of tiny blue-jean shorts (ladies), cowboy hats (guys), boots and line-dancing (everybody). “Wanna Take You Home” has an awesome beat to it that really makes you want to move. It’s a fun song, perfect for your own party playlist or just turned up loud while driving with the windows down. In all seriousness, if this song/video doesn’t make you want to get up and shake it, you might want to work on that. Check out the video here. You may have read already that Cheyenne Kimball has officially left the group, but she is still featured in this video. Gloriana plans to keep on making great music even in the absence of Kimball.

Gloriana Celebrates Soldiers

Gloriana Celebrates Military Service in Honor of 4th with Free Download. Gloriana will be celebrating the 4th of July this year by offering fans a free download of their song “Soldier Song” which is featured on the group’s upcoming album. The free download will be available to fans exclusively through Facebook, and will be accessible June 30th-July 7th. The group wishes to release the song as a tribute to service men and women and as a way to celebrate with fans. “After our trip overseas we were so inspired by the military men and women we met. We wrote Soldier Song to show our gratitude and give something back to all the service men and women out there. The timing couldn’t be better than 4th of July weekend to celebrate this song by releasing it to our fans.” -Mike Gossin In addition to the release of the song, there will be an accompanying video also available exclusively on Facebook. The video is comprised of photos of service men and women submitted by fans who have friends and family in the service. No matter what your plans are for the 4th, Gloriana is offering country fans a simple and heartfelt way to honor and remember those who are serving the United States through the military.

Gloriana Long Hot Summer Tour 2010

Gloriana fans get ready, their Long Hot Summer Tour 2010 begins today in Grand Junction, CO at Country Jam USA. “We are really looking forward to this tour – with longer sets and performances in new cities across the country – it’s a great opportunity to get out there some more and meet the country music fans who have already shown us so much support,” said Mike Gossin. “This is definitely going to be a Summer to remember and we cannot wait,” added Rachel Reinert. Kiss Country Chili Cookoff 2010

Hot music, hot chili, and cold cold beer at the Kiss Country Chili Cookoff! Last weekend was the Kiss Country Chili Cookoff in Ft Lauderdale, FL. The festival featured some of the region’s hottest, and I DO mean HOTTEST chili makers as well as Nashvillle’s finest entertainment.
