Chris Janson’s Palmetto Freedom Fest Return Helps Event Top $1 Million in Donations

Palmetto Freedom Fest exceeded $1 million in donations for the second consecutive year after Chris Janson returned to headline the October 30 event at Credit One Stadium.

The fifth annual gathering supported the Palmetto State Chapter of Folds of Honor, which provides education scholarships to the spouses and children of military service members and first responders who have fallen or been disabled while serving.

A country music night with a clear purpose

Held on the stadium’s Grand Lawn, the event also featured Charleston artists Faith Schueler and Grace Miller Moody. Live and silent auctions helped connect the evening’s music with fundraising for the families the chapter serves.

“I was honored to return back to Palmetto Freedom Fest and proud to perform for such a great cause,” Janson said.

The theme, “Good Vibes for a Great Cause,” drew on his song “Good Vibes.” A drone show closed the evening, according to the November 5 announcement.

Where the support goes

All proceeds benefit the Palmetto State Chapter’s scholarship mission. During the 2025–2026 academic year, the chapter awarded 246 scholarships and provided more than $1.1 million in educational support to South Carolina families.

The donation total belongs to the event’s collective effort: artists, attendees, auction participants and supporters. It is a useful reminder of what a concert can help accomplish when the community shows up around it.

Country Music News Blog covers plenty of big numbers in this business. When the number translates into education opportunities for families, it deserves a place in the conversation.
