Clay Walker Gala Benefitting MS Charity

First Ever Clay Walker Gala & Live Performances Benefiting Band Against MS.

Clay Walker hosted his first annual Clay Walker Gala & Live Performances on Oct. 18. The night was in support of Walker’s charity Band Against MS (BAMS) and was held at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas.

BAMS is a public charity committed to providing educational information for those living with Multiple Sclerosis, funding programs researching a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and funding programs helping those living with the disease.

At the gala, Walker honored Bob McNair, owner of the NFL Houston Texans, for his support of BAMS throughout the years. The night was full of excitement with Paul Somerville, honorary co-chair and CEO of Associated Pipeline Contractors, Inc., emceeing, and Houston Texans Matt Schaub, Tyler Clutts, TJ Yates, Jon Weeks, and Chris Myers there for support, as well as 2 time MLB World Series Champion, Roger Clemens.

Walker and Sarah Marince performed and Percy Sledge entertained everyone with his hit “When A Man Loves A Woman.” There was both a silent and live auction that raised money for BAMS.

The morning after the gala, Walker hosted a forum for MS patients, caregivers, family and friends, where top MS researchers spoke. CNN Newsmakers filmed the forum and it will be airing for one month beginning Nov. 9.
