  1. Looking for anyone that went to Country Thunder in 2009. I’m from MI and would like some tips on what to bring and not to bring.

  2. Kathy Waterbottles, sunscreen, hat, warm jacket and blanket. Loads of fun and if you can afford VIP with food, etc. BEST Way to GO. It you are going low budget, take you food stuffs drinks, and camp out. If your young camping out with the younger crowd can be a blast and a bit crazy campers are nice, and can be a bit wild. The weather can change so layers are best. Have fun I have gone for many years and even taken grandkids as young as

  3. This will be my first year, can anyone tell me if there are showers? or any other ammenities if we are just camping?

  4. OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK IS NOT ALLOWED…
Consider packing a cooler to leave in the car if you have 4day wristbands that way you can go in and out to eat or drink, its VERY expensive inside

  5. Don’t forget to bring the alergy medication. It is very dusty and sometimes windy there. Eyes will start to water.

  6. Was there last night. Neal McCoy was great!

I’m thinking of going for all four days next year. Can anyone tell me how far in advance you have to schedule to get a good camp site and reserve seating?

  7. Country Thunder is a joke if your going to be a vendor! They treat there vendors like shit and as soon as they cash your check good luck getting anything done! The vendor porto’s where being used by everyone at country thunder and they where never cleaned! Another vendor asked Scott to have them cleaned Friday morning due to him mother falling in the piss all over the floor, Scott said he would take care of it and nver did! I have pictures of the porto’s on Sunday when we were picking up our trailer and I don’t know anyone who would think of using those nasty things looking the way they did.

They whould not let us drive on to drop things off and pick things up from our trailer. then a few hours later the gate is open and people are coming in and out….? Country Thunder still owes the man that owns the ranch and they run things like shit! Every vendor I spoke to is very unhappy!

  8. The setup this year was bad. The placement of the bar and soundbooth right in the middle of the general seating area straight out from the stage, made spectators squeeze into very limited viewing angles on either side. With the numerious beer carts located around the general seating area and the main bar it was evident that the main focus was on alcohol sales and not the viewing enjoyment of the spectators.

The talent for this years shows was questionable. Yes you had a few big names that made it worth while going but maybe for next year you could be a little more sincere in bringing “country” music to Country Thunder.

  9. Something always seems to come up personally when it’s Country Thunder time. I am going to make sure this year is different. I love all the star names that attend and perform.

  10. Has anyone heard of Imelda May? Well, she performed at last years Grammy’s with a tribute to Les Paul & Mary Ford. Please check out the track ‘Kentish Town Waltz’ from her album ‘MAYHEM’ So so beautiful!! Also look out for tracks like: ‘Falling in Love With You Again’ from the album LOVE TATTOO. You will be hooked!!!!! X

  11. ok so i am trying to find the name of a small boutique that was at country thunder 2010 in az. they had the most amazing cowgirl boots that had jewls on them . if anyone remembers or knows the name please please let me know. =)
