Kevin Fowler and Roger Creager’s New Album, Dos Borrachos, Releases November 15th

Tequila and tacos at 2am. That’s when and how Roger Creager and Kevin Fowler conceived their latest project. It happened in a beautifully dark and dirty Cabo cantina while the two were on a song-writing trip.

Creager and Fowler outlasted the rest of the writers, and with their judgement clouded just enough, hatched the idea to collaborate on a duet album. And when the cook handed tacos to the waiter and said, “Para los ‘Dos Borrachos’”, they had their name. It means “Two drunks”. “Dos Borrachos” is the name of the band, the record, and the party anthem title track.

Creager has been hosting trips to Mexico for many years. He recently brought in Fowler and they partnered with Dickson Productions to create BigCaboFest.com. The festival is the ultimate party for music lovers and includes four days and nights of shows from some of the biggest acts in the scene in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This new record, “Dos Borrachos”, embodies the vibe of the event and provides fans music they can enjoy while awaiting the next Big Cabo Fest.

The lead-off single, “Bar Room Buddies” has Creager and Fowler covering the classic Merle Haggard/Clint Eastwood tune with perfect timing and musical chemistry – elements that continue throughout the entire album. The album establishes a mood of good-timing, hard-drinking, and easy-living throughout the ten song collection.

DOS BORRACHOS is due November 15th and comes on the heels of Fowler’s latest effort, BARSTOOL STORIES, released in August 2019. It is the first new music for Creager since 2015’s GULF COAST TIME. Trent Willmon, the highly acclaimed writer and producer, produced this new project. Kevin and Roger will embark on a two-week tour in November to bring beach vibes, party songs and good times to crowds across Texas.

The veteran entertainers hit the Texas Music scene about the same time and are still going stronger than ever. This collaboration has been a long-time coming for the good friends and is hopefully a sign of more great times to come.

Dos Borrachos release new lyric video for their song, “Salt”

Austin, Texas — Dos Borrachos have just given fans a special sneak peek into their new album, premiering the lyric video for “Salt,” a fun-loving ode to the mineral that seems to show up anywhere there’s a good time to be had, from your beach chair to your margarita rim. In the new video, the carefree lyrics float onto the screen as the peaceful ocean tide washes up and down.

“Salt” is a new song from Dos Borrachos’ upcoming eponymous debut album. Written by Jeff Outlaw, JT Harding, and Justin Wilson, the tune combines ukulele, pedal steel guitar, and hand percussion to create an island vibe that ultimately gives way to Dos Borrachos’ clever back-and-forth refrain.

“’Salt’ is one of those songs that just gets you in the mood for a good time,’” Dos Borrachos’ Kevin Fowler says. “What better way to celebrate the simple things in life than singing an ode to the perfect beach day?”
