Carnival Music singer-songwriter Kylie Frey embraces the complicated emotions of a romantic dead end with “Woman Outta Love,” a timeless new track tapping raw country desperation.
Out today (4/26) and co-written by Frey with Grace Tyler and Neal Coty, the devastated ballad digs deep into a conflicted kind of heartbreak, born from a love that didn’t burn out so much as slowly fade away.
With vivid lyrical wounds, the Louisiana native tells an all-too-country tale of falling for the wrong man – and looking for a way out – while slow-grooving production from Trent Willmon captures the heaviness of her heart. With a tender-touch of guitar and aching fiddles, Frey racks her deep-Southern vocal with regret, as she returns to a truly classic-country theme: a “woman outta love / stuck between a rock and a hard place.”
“I am blown away by the response this song has gotten just by putting a chorus of it on the internet. I’m so happy that it’s out in the world and can’t wait to see this song continue to resonate and bring healing to women,” says Frey.

With her star clearly on the rise, momentum continues to build behind Frey, who earlier this week took part in a high-profile CMT Next Women of Country event at Nashville’s City Winery. Taking the stage as one of the most promising new female artists in country music, she delivered a passionate rendition of “Woman Outta Love” to a rapt audience, after joining the program’s class of 2024 in January.
Likewise, recent headlines include the moving tribute Frey delivered to her late manager Erv Woolsey at Grand Ole Opry March 30 – dedicating the moment to a true believer and industry giant who also managed George Strait – and she also made a stunning red carpet appearance at the 2024 CMT Music Awards in early April.
“Woman Outta Love” now joins previously dropped tracks like the two-stepping “So You Think You Want a Cowboy,” and from earlier in the year, the rough-and-tumble dream-chaser’s anthem “Miss Thang” hit Texas radio – another showcase of her modern-throwback style.
With it, Frey aims to continue her string of ten #1’s on The Texas Regional Radio Chart, and last month performed at the annual TR3 (Texas Regional Radio Report) Awards where she celebrated her fourth Female Vocalist of the Year nomination at the show.
Kylie Frey is currently on the road in direct support of Randall King’s Into The Neon Tour, scheduled to crisscross the Midwest, Southeast and beyond through May. Stay tuned for more new music as 2024 unfolds, including another track slated for May.
