It seems that the Midwest Princess, Chappell Roan, who has taken the pop music industry by storm over the last few months has a few more tricks up her sleeve, including a country song in the works.
In a recent interview when asked about upcoming plans, Chappell revealed that she’s been working on her next album already. This would be a followup to the wildly successful “Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess”.
“We have a country song. We have a dancy song. We have one that’s really Eighties, and we have one that’s acoustic, and we have one that’s really organic, live-band, Seventies vibe. It’s super weird.”
Known for her synth-pop and infectiously fun live shows, it will be interesting to see what the more hometown sound will be for Chappell. Her small-town Missouri upbringing shines through in a lot of her lyrics already and she’s got a clever turn of phrase, so personally I’m excited to see where she takes this idea.
