NASHVILLE COMEDY FESTIVAL PLANS ANNUAL MUSIC CITY TAKEOVER, SET FOR APRIL 13-19, 2020

Nashville, Tenn. (December 10, 2019) – The Nashville Comedy Festival has announced its annual Music City takeover set for April 13-19 of next year.
Standup titan Bill Burr kicks off the festival on April 13 on the historic stage of The Opry House; emerging superstar Bert Kreischer “The Machine” makes his Ryman Auditorium debut with two shows on April 18; king of the rant Lewis Black headlines two shows at James K. Polk Theater on April 17 and 18; Tennessee native Nate Bargatze headlines the Ryman for the first time on April 15; everyone’s favorite high functioning hot mess Heather McMahan comes to the James K. Polk Theater on April 15; comedian, television host, actor and radio personality Rickey Smiley takes over Ryman Auditorium on April 19; comedian, actor, writer, producer and director Whitney Cummings comes to James K. Polk Theater on April 19; Tiny Meat Gang’s Cody Ko & Noel Miller bring their Global Domination tour to Andrew Jackson Hall on April 15; hit podcast The Dollop with Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds delivers its critically acclaimed live show to James K. Polk Theater on April 16. Zanies will stage a full lineup of laughs including “The Funniest Man in America” James Gregory, Taylor Tomlinson, The Bitch Bible, Ms. Pat and Leanne Morgan.
On April 13, the comedy world will also come together for a noble cause. No Laughing Matter: A Night of Comedy For a Cure benefiting The T.J. Martell Foundation will seek to raise funds for cancer research at The Factory in Franklin with Karen Mills, Dusty Slay, Pat McGann, Aaron Weber, Steven Bargatze and Killer Beaz, hosted by Bone Hampton.

The festival’s venue partners include some of the most iconic show rooms in Nashville, including The Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, TPAC’s Andrew Jackson Hall and James K. Polk Theater, and Zanies.
