Wyatt Flores took to his Instagram to announce he will be releasing his debut album, Welcome To The Plains on Friday, October 18th. The lead single from the record, “I Don’t Wanna Say Goodnight” will be available everywhere NOW!
The project will consist of 14 tracks displaying both happy and sad songs. “It’s the stories of my life, my family, and the people and places in my life who have defined who I am today. It feels like these last three years have been building up to this music,” Flores said.
Since he’s already released so much music this year alone, it doesn’t feel like a debut album from Flores. “Half Life” and “Life Lessons” were only a few songs apiece ,but felt like an album in the listening experience. In June, Flores opened up to Country Central about the album explaining that Welcome To The Plains will tie up any loose ends from the previous EPs completing the trio.
Since “Please Don’t Go” found viral success just a couple of years ago, Wyatt Flores has been on a quick rise to fame, establishing himself as one of country music’s most interesting up-and-coming artists. At just 23 years of age, the Oklahoma native is playing sold-out shows across the country and even in England. He is also supporting major acts like Luke Combs and the Turnpike Troubadours.
“Thank you all so much for your support and allowing me to have this life. I don’t know how I got so lucky to be in the position I’m in but I take none of it for granted and I made the album I’ve always dreamed of making,” Flores remarked in his statement about the album.
Welcome To The Plains will be available everywhere on October 18th. “I Don’t Want To Say Goodnight” will be available everywhere tonight.
