Josh Turner Live Across America Officially a Successful Release! Josh Turner released his live album titled, Live Across America, exclusively through Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, and the record debuted at number nine on Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart! I personally believe that the mark of a solid musician rests on the quality of their live performance. So, its always fun when artists release a live album! Live Across America features tracks performed on Turner’s 2012 Crack Barrel sponsored tour that hit cities all over the U.S. “My band and I had a blast making this record. Scotty McCreery fans will have extra reason to rejoice over the holidays this year, since their favorite crooner will be releasing his first Christmas Album on October 16th! There are a lot of Christmas tunes out there, but McCreery chose to include those that played a special role in his own life. “Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. And what is Christmas without music? We start listening to Christmas songs early in the McCreery household, so it felt right…“It’s a special thing for me. As a family, we were all really excited about making a Christmas album. Now we can add my CD to the collection we listen to.” -Scotty McCreery The album is titled Christmas with Scotty McCreery, and includes eleven songs that he feels will encourage people to feel good about the holidays. “I just wanted it to be holly and jolly and really lift people’s spirits in the Christmas season because it’s supposed to be a really happy time. Happy (Belated) 21st Birthday to Hunter Hayes! Hunter Hayes celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday, September 9th, and he spent the day in one of the best ways possible! The young singer/musician headed back to his home state of Louisiana, and performed the National Anthem at the Superdome for the New Orleans Saints‘ game against the Washington Redskins! I can’t imagine how special and how much fun that must have been for the talented Hayes! Lionel Richie received his first-ever CMA nomination on Wednesday for his duet with Darius Rucker on Richie’s “Stuck On You” in the Music Event of the Year category. “I am thrilled to receive my first nomination from the CMA. I am so grateful to the country music community for embracing this project and making me feel so at home. To share this nomination with my friend Darius Rucker makes it even more special. I have a CMA nomination and a friend for life. The video was shot at a concert and it looks like one huge party. There seem to be no men in the audience, which is quite all right with Keith because the song mentions nothing of the male gender!
