Ronnie Milsap Songwriting Contest Is Now Open.
Country music legend Ronnie Milsap, along with American Songwriter, have announced Ronnie Milsap’s Country Cut Contest. Starting June 18, the special song contest will give one aspiring songwriter the chance to have their song recorded by Milsap on his upcoming album hitting stores this Fall 2012.
“This really opens it up to receive material from a broader range of songwriters, different than what Ronnie would’ve normally been pitched going into the recording of a new album. We’re going to find an amazing song.” -John Ritchie, Creative Director
American Songwriter and a panel of industry professionals will listen to every song submitted and present Ronnie Milsap with 25 finalists. The deadline for songs to be heard is August 10. Milsap will select the winning song. Submissions fees are $20 for the first song and $10 for each additional song. All submissions will include a signed copy of the new upcoming album from Milsap.
“Knowing the American Songwriter audience, we should be able to find some fantastic songs. We have a great group of judges who will help narrow the field of hits for Ronnie to pick from.” -Ken Madson, President of Average Joes Management
With over 26 albums, 62 singles, 40 no. 1’s, 6 Grammy’s and over 35 million albums sold, Ronnie Milsap is giving one lucky songwriter their chance to win a piece of the business. To enter your song, visit www.americansongspace.com.
