The breakout hitmaker just announced his next big move—launching his own label, <strong>American Dogwood</strong>, in partnership with EMPIRE.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And he’s not wasting any time. The label’s first signing is Nashville-based rising star <strong>Kevin Powers</strong>, who already co-wrote Shaboozey and <a title="Jelly Roll" href="https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100ljXyr/pubref:WPSJelly/ar:CMNBAutoLink/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stubhub.com%2Fjelly-roll-tickets%2F">Jelly Roll</a>’s 2025 hit “Amen.” The two are kicking things off together with a collab called <strong>“Move On,”</strong> dropping September 19.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Shaboozey describes American Dogwood as “a tribute to where we come from, and to the artists, storytellers, and creators who make this life remarkable.” Along with longtime collaborators Jared Cotter and Abas Pauti, the mission is clear: build a home for diverse, boundary-pushing voices in Americana, country, hip-hop, and everything in between.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Born in Boston, raised in Raleigh, and now making his mark in Nashville, Powers has been bubbling under the radar with viral singles like <em>Walked In</em> and <em>How You Been?</em>. His sound has been coined <strong>“Southern Pop”</strong>—a mix that feels tailor-made for Shaboozey’s genre-bending world. Now, with <em>Move On</em> as his official introduction under American Dogwood, Powers is ready for the spotlight.</p>
