<p class="wp-block-paragraph">East Texas singer-songwriter <strong>Travis Bolt</strong> has released his new country-rock single, <strong>“Blues At My Funeral,”</strong> a brooding, soul-baring track that leans into heartbreak, dark humor, and lived experience. It’s the latest preview of his forthcoming debut album <em>Burning Bridges</em>, due out March 6, 2026, and it might be his most revealing work yet.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The song sits at the intersection of Texas country grit and blues-soaked rock, driven by Bolt’s unflinching vocal delivery and diaristic songwriting. There’s no polish for polish’s sake here. Instead, “Blues At My Funeral” feels like a late-night confession set to a slow burn, equal parts defiance and vulnerability.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a recent conversation with <strong>People</strong>, Bolt opened up about how music has helped him navigate life with Tourette Syndrome, explaining that playing guitar and singing helped slow his tics and gave him an outlet when nothing else could. That connection between music and survival is baked into every second of this release.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bolt has been open about using songwriting as a way to process pain, accountability, and redemption. That perspective carries through <em>Burning Bridges</em>, a record produced by <strong>Jason Burt</strong> that blends raw country storytelling with urgent rock instrumentation. Each song reads like a chapter in a larger story, one shaped by perseverance rather than polish.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Beyond the music, Bolt is also putting action behind his words. He’s working with the <strong>Tourette Association of America</strong> and will take part in advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. this spring, using his growing platform to push for education, awareness, and better support for those living with tic disorders.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There’s a reason Bolt’s earlier breakout track “Never Tried Cocaine” struck such a nerve online. His songs don’t posture or perform toughness. They sit in the mess, acknowledge it, and keep moving forward anyway.</p>
