Lainey Wilson Tops The CMA Award Nominees List With 6 Nominations; Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Chris Stapleton And Shane McAnally Land 5 Nominations

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION has unveiled its nominees for the 56TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS, led by first-time nominee LAINEY WILSON with six nominations. Other top nominees include ASHLEY MCBRYDE, CARLY PEARCE, CHRIS STAPLETON and Songwriter/Producer SHANE MCANALLY with five nominations each. Snagging four nominations were CODY JOHNSON and Songwriter/Producer JOSH OSBORNE. LUKE COMBS, HARDY, MIRANDA LAMBERT, MIDLAND and CARRIE UNDERWOOD had three nominations apiece.

LAMBERT continues to add to her total as the most nominated female artist of all time, bringing her total to 61 which is now third overall, only trailing GEORGE STRAIT (83) and ALAN JACKSON (81).

First-time CMA Awards nominees include BRELAND, ALEXA CAMPBELL, JACK CLARKE, DAN GRECH-MARGUERAT, JACOB DAVIS, DUSTIN HANEY, WALKER HAYES, JOSH JENKINS, MATT JENKINS, JASON LEHNING, BLAKE LIVELY, CHIP MATTHEWS, PARKER MCCOLLUM, MICHAEL MONACO, JASON NIX, MIKEY REAVES, HARPER SMITH, TRENT WILLMON, and the nomination leader, WILSON.

The finalists were also announced TODAY in the CMA’s Broadcast Awards categories. Dual nominees in the Broadcast Awards were KFKF/KANSAS CITY, WSIX/NASHVILLE, KXKT/OMAHA and WHKO/DAYTON.

Winners, who are chosen by CMA members, will be revealed during the show’s live broadcast from NASHVILLE, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9 on ABC with hosts LUKE BRYAN and PEYTON MANNING.
