Dierks Bentley: Up On The Ridge
Dierks Bentley’s newest album, Up On The Ridge, released today. This is Dierks Bentley’s 5th album and offers fans some bluegrass roots that motivated him to becoming a country musician. I fell in love with this kind of music the first time I walked into the Station Inn with a fake I.D. at 19 years old … these guys, who were my age, were playing their instruments so hard it knocked your head back. After that, I never missed a Tuesday night there in almost eight years,” explains Bentley. “Without the whole bluegrass community taking me in, I would have had no place to start from. It is my foundation. Track List for Up On The Ridge: 1. Up On The Ridge (Written by Angelo Petraglia, Dierks Bentley, Background Vocals by Alison Krauss) 2. Nickelback Goes Country?
Nickelback is known for their hard-hitting rock and roll… so why is their video playing on CMT? CMT just put Nickelback’s video for “This Afternoon” into the rotation. Not really what I would expect to see on CMT, although it’s rare enough to turn to that station and see music videos at all anymore. To his credit though, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger did write “Business Doing Pleasure With You,” which Tim McGraw fans have so thoroughly enjoyed, so maybe there’s some real country in this guy Kroeger. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the video fares with the fans.Country Music Photo Gallery
