BRELAND Solidifies His Place in Country Music for 2022

Bad Realm Records / Atlantic Records PLATINUM breakout artist BRELAND has hit the ground running this year with no signs of slowing down. According to The Tennessean, “As 2022 opens, BRELAND’s star is still on the rise,” and is gaining recognition with profiles in The Tennessean, Nashville Lifestyles, plus coveted spots on Spotify’s Hot County 2022 Artists To Watch, American Songwriter’s 12 Artists to Watch in 2022, CMT Listen Up class of 2022, and more.

Featured as The Tennessean’s portfolio cover on Sunday (1/23), BRELAND also premiered his brand-new mini documentary on Tennessean.com. The clip depicts BRELAND’s two-week whirlwind in November earning a “hat-trick” of Nashville breakout moments— making his Grand Ole Opry debut, performing on the CMA Awards, and singing on Ryman Auditorium stage for the first time.
“[At the Opry], I sang ‘My Truck’ in the same three-foot by three-foot circle where Connie Smith performed,” BRELAND tells The Tennessean. “That’s an interesting juxtaposition, but it’s important to realize that there was space for both of us in the circle, metaphorically and in real life. I imagine when I perform ‘My Truck’ before some newcomer in 50 years, they’ll call that song ‘old school.’ It’s true what they say. Music, like all things, evolves.”

Continuing the momentum, BRELAND has already commanded a few great stages in 2022 as he performed at the College Football Playoff National Championship in mid-January and opened the year performing LIVE on CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash alongside Dierks Bentley and performing their hit collab “Beers On Me” as well as his breakthrough track “My Truck.”

Up next, he’ll hit the road for Russell Dickerson’s ALL YOURS, ALL NIGHT TOUR, kicking off tonight (1/25) at Irving Plaza in New York City. The tour will wrap at the Ryman Auditorium on March 25. See full list of tour stops here.
