This week it looks like the major players are back in the game! With the CMA’s right aroudn the corner (June 8th to be exact) everyone’s got their hustle going to capture fan attention and get the country music community fired up! Here’s a few of this week’s biggest country music headlines! Keith Urban shut down the Nashville streets with his free show celebrating his new album “Ripcord.” See some footage and find out more details here, or just watch the video below. *Disclaimer – We are currently unable to find a high-quality video of that appearance, so here’s the closest we can get 🙂 History making country duo Florida Georgia Line appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” (NBC 8:00pm ET) with a special performance of their new hit single, “H.O.L.Y.” In addition to their performance on “The Voice,” the group also gave audiences a special musical collaboration with hip-hop artist, Flo-Rida, for “Mash-up Mondays” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (ABC 11:35pm ET). Mayor Sylvester Turner has teamed up with multi-Platinum selling country music star, Clay Walker, and Joel and Victoria Osteen of Lakewood Church, to raise funds and awareness for the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund – providing donations and financial assistance directly to the residents of our city who are suffering devastating loss from the recent floods. Florida Georgia Line to Stream CMT Award Performance LIVE via Meerkat App

CMT, Mountain Dew and Meerkat are teaming up with Florida Georgia Line for an award show first and providing fans multiple entry points into country music’s loudest night. During Florida Georgia Line’s highly anticipated performance of “Anything Goes” at the 2015 “CMT Music Awards” on June 10 – for the first time in award show history – Meerkat will live stream the entire performance literally from the front row. Meerkat users will be able to watch the performance live (and later on-demand) in a custom designed Mountain Dew skinned player. This marks the latest in a larger partnership between Mountain Dew and Florida Georgia Line. The live awards telecast is CMT’s most-watched night of the year. This activation leverages the reach of all three brands and undeniably one of country music’s biggest acts to engage fans in an innovative social co-viewing experience. The live stream will live within the Meerkat app that will be distributed via CMT’s Twitter and Facebook page and then shared from Mtn Dew’s so both CMT & Dew handles will be broadcasting access to the stream on Meerkat. For those who missed the stream live on Meerkat, Mtn Dew & CMT will be allowing people to see this front row view again and relive the experience via a video link of the performance for 1 week after the awards, thanks to Mountain Dew. The video will be distributed via Mtn Dew’s social handle and promoted from CMT’s social handles post show.

CBS SPORTS TEAMS UP WITH SUPERSTAR DUO FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE

Florida Georgia Line and One Direction to Perform on 2013 AMA’s

Florida Georgia Line and One Direction will each make their debut performance on the “2013 American Music Awards,” which will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24th (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC. They join previously announced performers Miley Cyrus and Imagine Dragons. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. “Florida Georgia Line and One Direction have made an incredible impact over the past three years,” said Larry Klein, longtime producer of the American Music Awards. “We are thrilled to have them make their AMA debut performances this year.” The “2013 American Music Awards” is produced by dick clark productions. Allen Shapiro is Executive Producer and Larry Klein is Producer. Florida Georgia Line is nominated for four American Music Awards this year including New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohls, and One Direction is nominated for two American Music Awards including Favorite Album and Favorite Band Duo or Group in the Pop/Rock category.

The Official Music Video For Georgia Line’s “Round Here.” Below is the official music video for Florida Georgia Line’s current single, “Round Here.” The song comes from their album, Here’s To The Good Times. The video has an interesting take on it, as we see both Tyler and Brian playing out their day in separate locations (Georgia and Florida). I’m sure the song will do well with radio and fans like their previous singles.
