Singer and songwriter Luke Bryan comes by his country influences naturally — he grew up in Leesburg, GA, a small town 100 miles from the Alabama border where his father grew peanuts and sold fertilizer for a living. Bryan helped his family work the farm when he was young, but in his early teens he developed a passion for country music, picking up his influences from his parents’ record collection, listening to the likes of George Strait, Conway Twitty, Ronnie Milsap, Alan Jackson, and Merle Haggard. When he was 14, his folks bought Bryan his first guitar, and a year later his performing and singing was strong enough that he began sitting in with local bands at a club featuring live country songs. At 16, Bryan starting writing songs with the help of a pair of local tunesmiths who had enjoyed some success in Nashville, and Bryan planned to head to songs City to try his luck after graduating from high school until his brother died in an auto accident. Wanting to offer emotional support to his family, Bryan opted to attend Georgia Southern University instead, though he didn’t give up songs; Bryan continued writing songs, formed a ensemble and was performing bookings on campus or at nearby watering holes most weekends at a time of pursuing his studies. Bryan recorded a self-released album he sold at concerts at a time of this period, but he was reluctant to take the plunge and devote himself to songs full-time until he returned home to work in the family business after receiving his degree. Bryan’s dad, confident of his son’s talent, made him an offer — he could either move to Nashville or be fired. In the early fall of 2001, Bryan pulled up stakes and relocated to Nashville, where his heartfelt songs of country life acquired him a record deal with one of the city’s many publishing houses. In his free time, Bryan continued to perform at local clubs, and after an A&R man from Capitol Records saw him perform a set of his original material, he was given a album deal. Capitol gave us Bryan’s first widely distributed album, I’ll Stay Me, in the summer of 2007, not long after it with Doin’ My Thing in 2009.

On the other end of the top ten, Dolly Parton proves that it’s not all about teenagers and tour dates as she hits the #10 spot at $19 Million, making her the ONLY woman in the top ten! The sweet southern sass, and cunning business acumen that only a lifetime in the music business can provide has helped Dolly build an empire of theme parks, dinner attractions, and even acquire and maintain all of the publishing rights to her written and recorded works, giving her the ultimate control over her career and income as time goes by. Panama City Beach Announces Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam Headliners

Country’s biggest stars are again descending on Nashville’s favorite beach, as Panama City Beach hosts the fifth annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam on September 1-3, 2017. This Labor Day weekend, visitors can split time playing along the sugar white sand beaches and catching favorites like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Little Big Town as they take the stage.             “This year’s lineup is bigger than ever. For our guests, it’s a great chance to combine a beach vacation with a terrific concert experience,” says Dan Rowe, president and CEO of Visit Panama City Beach. “There’s no better way to cap off the summer season and kick start fall than with these impressive country music stars.” Music will begin each day at 2:00pm so ticket holders can spend the morning enjoying the white sand beaches and bright Florida sunshine, before catching a shuttle to the concert venue. Tickets for the three-day festival to be held at Frank Brown Park go on sale April 2. Options include General Admission, the new VIP Pit Experience, Skybox, Side Stage and Golden Circle tickets. ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee and four-time show co-host Luke Bryan released a poignant music video for single “Fast” today. The video features an acoustic performance by Luke on a bare stage as photos of his early childhood, career and family flow through as the music plays. “Fast” was the tenth Luke video directed by Michael Monaco and was written by Luke, Rodney Clawson and Luke Laird and is the sixth single off his Platinum selling KILL THE LIGHTS album. World-renowned wax attraction Madame Tussauds unveiled their Luke Bryan wax figure yesterday afternoon at their Times Square Museum in New York City. Luke was present for the reveal to media getting his first look of the figure as well. Luke’s wax figure will be on display at their newest location in Nashville slated to open on April 14. Madame Tussauds figures involve teams of professional artists and sculptors who spend months on extensive research and take more than 300 measurements to recreate world-famous icons. After the unveiling Luke headed to Madison Square Garden to play a sold-out show and tonight he will perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
