Top 10 Graduation Songs

The Top 10 Songs For Graduation Celebrations! As you all know, the CMNB team loves summertime (we’ve been writing and dreaming about all of our adventures for months now!). And although there is an exact calendar date for the start of the season, there are many unofficial starts to it as well! For students, the one and most holy of those is the end of a school year! For seniors, whether it is high school or college, that last day of school (and passing grades) means graduation! In honor of this (and my recent obsession with Top 10s) I have come up with another list! So everybody get the tissues ready, as you (or your family member) embark on another life journey! Congratulations to all graduates (especially the ones from Sallisaw!). Good luck on all of your future plans!!! Top 10 Graduation Songs 1. I Hope You Dance – Lee Ann Womack 2. My Wish – Rascal Flatts 3. Here’s To You – Eli Young Band (fit this into my high school graduation speech) 4. I’m Not Gonna Cry – Corey Smith 5. Don’t Blink – Kenny Chesney 6. Don’t Forget To Remember Me – Carrie Underwood 7. Laughed Until We Cried – Jason Aldean 8. The River – Garth Brooks 9. You’re Gonna Miss This – Trace Adkins 10. Thomas Rhett Something To Do With My Hands Video

Thomas Rhett’s Official Music Video For “Something To Do With My Hands!” Thomas Rhett’s “Something To Do With My Hands” is quite the catchy tune if I say so myself. It’s upbeat and he has a pretty distinctive voice that adds that certain bit of charm that draws people in. At first glance one might think he was a younger Eric Church (with his dark hair and hat), but no, he is an up-and-comer ready to prove himself! Following in his father’s (Rhett Akins) songwriting footsteps, he had a song on Jason Aldean’s album My Kinda Party, “I Ain’t Ready To Quit.” The video is one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a while. Trying to impress a group of girls, he seems to fall flat until he pulls out his golden ticket, his ability to perform! I suggest you watch the video now!

Kelly Clarkson Song Turned Country

Kelly Clarkson’s Pop Hit “Mr. Know It All” Now Has A Country Version. Kelly Clarkson is a pop singer with a powerhouse for a voice. Although she is not part of the country genre when it comes to her music, she has a lot of ties to the big family. She is from Texas, enjoys country music, has many friends who are currently staples in the country music scene, (Reba, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert to name a few) and blew people away with her duet “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with Jason Aldean. Recently her pop hit “Mr. Know It All” was tweaked and changed to be played on country stations. The question is should it have been done? Some might argue that the lyrics fit right in with the things they hear on their local radio stations now, the only thing keeping it from being country is the music. Well…isn’t that a big part? Anybody could add some pedal steel to many songs and would make it more “country.” This is a big topic of debate these days, what is country? Below are two videos…one that is the audio to the country version of “Mr. Know It All” and the other is the official music video for the original version (pop version) of “Mr. Know It All.” Tell us what you think! Which version do you like better? Do you think she should do more country versions?
