Randy Travis is surprising fans with the release of a new Christmas song from the vault titled, “There’s a New Kid In Town.” This song, written by Keith Whitley, Curly Putman and Don Cook, will be featured on the upcoming remastered version of his classic Christmas album An Old Time Christmas, due out November 19. Originally released in 1989, the album is certified Gold by the RIAA and is the first Christmas record Travis ever released. In addition to “There’s a New Kid In Town,” fans will receive two additional never-before-heard songs from the vault. David Nail announced to fans’ delight that he will be releasing a brand new EP titled Bootheel 2021 on Friday, November 5. The project is a continuation of his previously released Bootheel 2020 that came out in December of last year. This new collection of songs showcases his love and admiration for his hometown and family as you can hear special contributions from twins — daughter, Lilli Cate, and son, Lawson — in the prelude and postlude. The word “bootheel” holds a ton of meaning to David as it is often used to describe the region of Missouri that he grew up in and so fondly writes and sings about. Pre-save Bootheel 2021 here.
