Shania Twain scores her first Hollywood lead in the upcoming John Travolta racing film, Trading Paint. “It’s well know that dirt track racing is one of the most exciting sports in the world, and it’s also one of the most dangerous,” producer Andrea Iervolino told Variety about the project. “Our story is rooted in that high-speed danger, but also very much character driven.” This news comes on the back of a huge promotional push for Shania’s new album “Now” and certainly marks the songstress’s return to the limelight in a big way!

Joining Jerry Lee on the stage will be Chris Stapleton and Lee Ann Womack with additional special guests announced in the coming weeks. While he’s not a country musician per se’, singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has always had a soft spot in our hearts since his openening tour with Taylor Swift, so imagine our surprise when we heard his sweet voice ring out in the season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones. Ed’s part was a simple one as a soldier, singing a song that loosely references the love Jaime Lannister has for his sister, Queen Cersei. While hardcore throners have been raging at the internet over Ed’s use of otherwise valuable screentime, we here thought it was an interesting moment to see Arya so relaxed and almost happy, while revealing her next intentions. Parton plays the role Nolene, a famous country music star, who becomes stranded on Driftwood Bay due to a storm. While she waits for her yacht to be repaired, Nolene tempts sea dog Salty (Peter Mullan) to form a glamourous singing duo with her. With dreams for becoming a big star, Salty nearly accept the amazing offer until he realizes how much he’ll miss his friends.
