Blake Shelton to Host 2016 Nickelodeon ‘s Kids Choice Awards

It seems television can’t get enough of Blake Shelton as he gets tapped to host the 2016 Kids Choice awards. Country Music superstar and coach on the Emmy winning NBC’s The Voice, Blake Shelton, will host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards, airing live on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Super-sized surprises will take over this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards honoring favorites from the worlds of film, music, and television, and giving kids a front-row seat to slime, stunts and celebrities.  The show will be seen by kids around the globe on Nickelodeon channels in more than 180 countries and territories. Additional Kids’ Choice Awards news will be announced in the coming months. Said Shelton of his hosting duties: “I’ve been on countless stages throughout my life, but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick’s Kids’ Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids.  There is only one team here, and it’s Team Kids’ Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!

Brad Paisley Contributes the Soundtrack for 2015 SEC Football

CBS Sports is tuning up its SEC ON CBS coverage with country music superstar BRAD PAISLEY. The Grammy Award winner has recorded a customized version of his new single, “COUNTRY NATION,” along with elements from a video shoot that will be part of CBS Sports’ broadcasts of Southeastern Conference football throughout the regular-season. Hee Haw the Musical is Hitting Broadway Next Spring!

In the most surprising news of the weekend, us pickers and grinners will finally have a great reason to head to New York City! Word just got out that you will soon get to see the classic country television show Hee Haw the Musical on Broadway! Rather than the variety music and sketch comedy we’re used to, it will focus on the story of one particular pair of Hee Haw characters, a wiley sexpot from Kornfield Kounty and her boyfriend whose wedding gets put on hold when she decides she wants to see the world first. The show is being put together by Steve Buchanan, head of Opry Entertainment, with a script by Robert Horn and music by Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark. Many of the original characters made famous from the TV show appear in the musical, including Grandpa Jones, Misty Rowe, Lulu Roman (love her!) and Junior Samples.

Wynonna On CBS’s THE TALK Monday, October 28

WYNONNA will appear on CBS’s “The Talk” this Monday, October 28 (2-3pm ET; 1-2pm PT/CT) to reveal details on her new women’s shoe line Got Soul, plans for her “A Simpler Christmas” tour kicking off December 3, as well as help celebrate host Sheryl Underwood’s 50th birthday. The five-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, musician and New York Times best-selling author can now add shoe designer to her resume. Her new women’s shoe line, Got Soul, features a collection of bedazzled sneakers, wedges and flats, and will be available at Fred Segal LA and other boutiques across America just in time for the holiday gift-giving season. J.T. Hodges to star in Hallmark movie “FINDING CHRISTMAS”

Country Music star JT Hodges will star in a new made-for-television holiday movie. The sultry Country Music artist who has already caught the eye of Music City Nashville, award-winning producers, the ACM’s and People Magazine will debut his acting skills in the Hallmark Channel Original Holiday movie, “Finding Christmas” which premieres on the network on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 8pm EST. In conjunction with the network television movie, JT Hodges will also release a modern country take on the classic holiday song “Joy to the World” on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 via iTunes. Rachel Potter Wows Judges on Fox’s X Factor

Last week on FOX’s “The X Factor,” Rachel Potter, a 29 year old bartender from Nashville auditioned for the show’s judges and was put through to the next round. Already a success on Broadway with roles in “Evita” and “The Addams Family,” Rachel’s true love has always been country music so she left New York for Tennessee. Auditioning for “X Factor” was a personal choice for her as a way to show people that while she may not be a 15 year old, she’s still relevant and a can be a music force. Luke Bryan Tune In Alert

Reigning ACM Entertainer of The Year Luke Bryan will head to New York for television appearances next week between dates on his “Dirt Road Diaries Tour.” Luke will perform his new smash single “That’s My Kind Of Night” from his Crash My Party album on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” season finale on Wednesday, September 18. On Thursday, September 19 Luke will appear on ABC’s popular talk and entertainment program “The View” as a guest host alongside Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and new co-host Jenny McCarthy. On Friday, September 13 “Entertainment Tonight” will premiere Luke’s new video for “That’s My Kind Of Night.” The video will premiere at 12:01am PT/3:01am ET on: www.etonline.com/music/138309_Luke_Bryan_That_s_My_Kind_of_Night_Music_Video_Premiere/index.html with a broadcast debut including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage airing at 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET. Earlier this week Luke received three nominations for the 47th Annual CMA Awards, Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Musical Event for “The Only Way I Know” with Jason Aldean and Eric Church. The show will air live on ABC on November 6 from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, where Luke will play two-sold out shows this October!

Could Kellie Pickler Be Any More Adorable?

Kellie Pickler Charms On Dancing with the Stars and Late Night! I honestly don’t really get that into reality shows, but if these show’s producers keep casting Kellie Pickler, I’m all in. Seriously everyone, could she possibly be any more adorable? Excuse me while I gush, but she is such a warm, real, funny person. It also turns out that not only does she have super vocal skills, she’s also a really great dancer! She is simply doing a fantastic job on Dancing with the Stars right now, having perfectly delivered a Cha Cha, a Jazz and a Jive routine, all superbly! This is one gal that really knows how to roll with the punches whether its shaving her head to support a friend, traveling overseas to help entertain the troops or joke around with a late night talk show! I for one am totally in favor of seeing (and hearing) way more of Pickler! Kellie Pickler Super Adorable and Charming On CBS’s Late Late Night with Craig Ferguson.
