While Waiting for This Year’s Special, Watch the 2011 CMA Country Christmas! Last weekend, Jennifer Nettles along with country music artists and fans, filled up the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN to tape the 2012 CMA Country Christmas! We are suuuuper excited about this annual television special, but it doesn’t air until the end of December. So, we dug up a copy of last year’s CMA Country Christmas, so you can relive the 2011 Christmas magic in anticipation of the 2012 Christmas magic!! Even though its only the first week on November, I had a lot of fun re-watching the special, and I’m already in the holiday spirit!!! Are you? Watch: The 2011 CMA Country Christmas! Great American Country debuted d corlew film’s “The Journey Home: A Soldier’s Story” yesterday with narration by Charlie Daniels. You are offered a unique insight into the lives of US Army and Marine veterans on their way home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Director David Corlew hopes people are moved by his documentary. “I am honored to team with GAC’s Sarah Trahern and Suzanne Gordon to tell the stories like these that need to be told. Through this process, we’re hoping to inspire our communities to reach out, and in some small way, to support the men and women who choose to serve and protect our nation.” -David Corlew And the documentary does not gloss over the challenge of returning home from war. You’ll see rehab from physical and emotional injuries and the difficult adjustment back into their former civilian life. The documentary also shows the happy side of returning home which includes interviews with family and friends upon the soldier’s return home.
