Chris Stapleton, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Parker McCollum Announced as ACM Award Winners

 Chris Stapleton Announced as Artist-Songwriter of the Year Winner, Jessie Jo Dillon Named Songwriter of the Year Winner, and Parker McCollum Claims Visual Media of the Year Award for the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards

The winners of the ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year categories were revealed during ACM Awards week events, in advance of the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, May 16 live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Chris Stapleton received his 17th ACM Award when he was named the winner of ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year. Chris Stapleton is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and also the most-recent recipient of the Academy’s coveted Triple Crown prize, which celebrates artists who have won New Female/Male Artist of the Year, Female/Male Artist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. He also has four additional nominations going into Thursday night’s ACM Awards, including Album of the Year (artist and producer) for Higher, Male Artist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year, and is set to perform live on the show.

Jessie Jo Dillon received her first ACM Award after winning ACM Songwriter of the Year. Jessie Jo Dillon has previously been nominated as a songwriter on Dan + Shay with Justin Bieber’s “10,000 Hours” and Cole Swindell’s “Break Up In The End.”

Parker McCollum won his second ACM Award, this time for ACM Visual Media of the Year for his music video for “Burn It Down,” produced by Christen Pinkston & Wesley Stebbins-Perry and directed by Dustin Haney. In 2022, Parker McCollum won ACM New Male Artist of the Year. He is also nominated for ACM Single of the Year for “Burn It Down” at Thursday’s 59th Academy of Country Music Awards and is set to perform on the show as well.

Parker McCollum was surprised on stage by Old Dominion during his headlining performance set at Parker McCollum and Friends: ACM Lifting Lives LIVE, Presented by Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, an all-star fundraiser concert on the green at Topgolf – The Colony benefiting the philanthropic partner of the Academy of Country Music, and presented with the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year in front of thousands of Country Music fans.

ACM Awards Week culminates with the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, May 16, live from the Ford Center at The Star.

The ACM Awards will kick off with the Official ACM Awards Red Carpet Show presented by Prime Video and Amazon Music, featuring a performance by Megan Moroney, and will air on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch starting at 7 p.m. EDT.

Hosted by 16-time ACM Award-winning entertainment icon, Reba McEntire, the 59th ACM Awards will stream live feature performances from Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Parker McCollum, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Tigirlily Gold, and Lainey Wilson, as well as a show stopping performance featuring brand new music from Reba McEntire. Additionally, the show will feature must-see duets from Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan; Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani; and Nate Smith featuring Avril Lavigne.

Plus, five-time ACM Awards winner for National On-Air Personality of the Year, Bobby Bones will be featured throughout the night. The segment, “Backstage with Bobby Bones,” will showcase intimate artist interviews and special moments of the show.

The ACM Awards will be free to stream live exclusively for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT. A Prime membership will not be required to watch live, everyone is invited to the Party of the Year. Fans can also watch the show on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.

The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Raj Kapoor is Executive Producer and Showrunner, with Patrick Menton as Co-Executive Producer. Damon Whiteside serves as Executive Producer for the Academy of Country Music, and Barry Adelman serves as Executive Producer for DCP. John Saade continues to serve as consulting producer for Amazon MGM Studios.

Established in 1966, the Academy of Country Music Awards is the longest-running Country Music awards show and made history in 2022 as the first major awards ceremony to exclusively livestream, in collaboration with Prime Video. This year’s show marks its return to Frisco, Texas for the second consecutive year after the 2023 show was one of the most watched awards shows of the year.
