<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cash&#8217;s delivery makes this a particularly uncomfortable listen. The violence comes through a narrator whose composure is part of the horror. There&#8217;s no need to dress that up with cobwebs. This is one for an adult playlist, and it deserves a little space around it rather than being dropped between novelty tracks.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every Halloween gathering needs a moment when the room wakes back up. A fiddle contest with a soul at stake handles that nicely. This one brings speed, personality and a villain you can identify immediately. It&#8217;s also the bridge between the people who came for eerie story songs and the people who just want something they can holler along with.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Loretta Lynn, &#8220;This Haunted House&#8221;</h2>
