In the early morning hours of March 3rd, 2020, East Nashville was struck by a horrendous and deadly tornado. This was one of FOUR tornadoes that swept across three states overnight, leaving a path of horror in their wake. While damage, injury, and fatality reports are still flooding in as day breaks, here is what we currently know, and how you can help.
The American Red Cross of Tennessee said on its Twitter account that a shelter had been opened for displaced residents downtown at the Nashville Farmers Market, just north of the state capitol. Find donation and volunteer opportunities with the Red Cross here.
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has set up a fund to help those who have been displaced by a tornado that ripped through the area.
The organization says it has activated the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund to support the affected communities and the nonprofits who are helping victims address their needs. Click here to donate.
