Miranda Lambert Aims Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts Towards Family Pets

Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation Gives Nearly $100,000 To Hurricane Helene Relief For Pets and Families – “My heart breaks for the people and pets impacted by Hurricane Helene,” Lambert shared.

as reported by CountryNow – Miranda Lambert, known for being a passionate advocate for animal welfare, is joining the efforts to assist those who have been affected by the impact of Hurricane Helene. With the help of her MuttNation Foundation, she has stepped up once again to be the voice of the animals who have also been affected by this devastation across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

In her recent Instagram post, three-time GRAMMY winner reveals that the MuttNation Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues Fund has already contributed close to $100,000 to support ongoing relief efforts working to help pet shelters, pets, and their families that are in great need of assistance in this time. These funds are also going towards emergency response organizations that are working tirelessly to help the communities.

“As y’all know, Hurricane Helene hit the Southeast hard. It’s hard to wrap my mind around the devastation that our neighbors in Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia are experiencing,” Lambert said in the clip.

Finding Hope In This Difficult Time

Lambert goes on to explain just how much more needs to be done for these animals. With shelters even more overwhelmed and countless pets left without homes, Lambert is determined to bring relief to these vulnerable four-legged friends. Her post features a slideshow of images and videos that show just how important it is to lend a helping hand to these animals.

She continues, “It’s a very dire situation because many of the shelters that got hit were already struggling with overcrowding. As we’ve been in contact with the shelters, we’re also hearing really heroic stories. People are risking their lives to help. It’s that type of courage that gives me hope that we’ll all get through this.”

100% Of Donations Going Toward Disaster Relief

Fundraisers have been set up that allow people to give what they can to the MuttNation Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund, with 100% of donations going to disaster relief.

“My heart breaks for the people and pets impacted by Hurricane Helene. In situations like this, a lot of people ask me how they can help,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I created this fundraiser for anyone who wants to join us in helping 100% of your donation goes towards Hurricane Helene disaster relief.”

Updates have continued to pour in following the massive destruction that occurred last week across multiple states as a result of the category four Hurricane Helene. Today, Oct. 3, NBC News reports that at least 202 people have been found dead and more than half of the deaths were in North Carolina. Hundreds of people are still missing and officials have shared that because of the severity of the flash floods, high winds and landslides, it has been a challenge trying to identify some of the deceased.

Miranda Lambert is not the only country artist using their platform to help those affected. Morgan Wallen donated over $500,000 to the Red Cross through his foundation, Chris Janson and his family helped deliver supplies to local communities, and North Carolina natives, Luke Combs, Chase Rice, Scotty McCreery and Eric Church have all devised plans to assist those in their home state.

Lambert, who was honored with the Country Icon Award at the recent People’s Choice Country Awards, will continue her support of shelter pets with her show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater on October 5. The all-star show is in support of the 15th anniversary of MuttNation.
