Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Shows Extra Love to Shelter Pets for Valentine’s Day

And Gives a Heartfelt Thanks to Thousands of Volunteers

NASHVILLE, TN (February 14, 2020) It’s Valentine’s Day and Country Music’s “Wildcard” superstar, Miranda Lambert, wanted to take the opportunity to thank the thousands of volunteers she challenged to “Pledge to Volunteer” at their local animal rescue. By volunteering, the shelter they helped was automatically registered to be in the running to receive one of ten $1,000 MuttNation Foundation grants. In addition, volunteers were entered for the grand prize of concert tickets and a meet-and-greet with Miranda at an upcoming performance.

Lambert, who began volunteering at rescue shelters as a teenager, said “Shelter pets have the biggest hearts and I wanted to show them some extra love on Valentine’s Day. We started the Pledge to Volunteer last year and had nearly 500 people, which was great. This year, over 2,000 MuttNation supporters joined the challenge, and I want to send out a huge ‘thank you’ to all of them. It’s amazing to have that kind of a response because shelters everywhere rely so heavily on support from their communities.”

MuttNation congratulates Andrea Shike of Wisconsin, the grand prize winner of concert tickets and a meet-and-greet with Miranda, along with the 10 grant recipient shelters and all the dedicated volunteers who made it happen.

MuttNation encourages everyone who has the time to volunteer – and, of course, to adopt from their local shelter, too!
