Mother’s Day Music from Parker McCollum

Parker McCollum just released a new music video for his song “Things I Never Told You,” which was included on his 2023 fifth studio album, Never Enough.

Parker McCollum Scores 4th #1

A tearjerker of a song, it finds the Texas native looking back on everything his mother did for him and detailing how much she influenced his life.

“Things I Never Told You” is a co-write by Monty Criswell, Lynn Hutton and Taylor Phillips, and it opens up with Parker admitting how much he’s done that she wouldn’t be too proud of, and also admitting that:

“Cop got me doin’ eighty-eight on Main he let me off with a warnin’
And I was hungover as hell most of them third-pew Sunday mornings
I had a Playboy stashed in a Johnny Cash LP sleeve in my room
That’s just a few, things I never told you”

He continues, saying that he realized just how much she did for him when he finally moved away and started his own life, and he’s extremely grateful for her, noting simply:

“Thank you’s at the top of my list, of things I never told you”

It’s such a sweet, heartfelt song, and even though Parker didn’t write it, it still feels extremely personal and was easily one of my favorites from the aforementioned album.

And today, Parker released a beautiful, heartfelt new music video that features footage from his sold out show at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas last year, as well as some sweet photos of Parker and his mom, from when Parker was a baby all the way to his wedding a couple years ago.

Do yourself a favor and check it out, but like I said, you might wanna grab a tissue first because it’s a real tearjerker:
