Scotty McCreery is starting the Christmas music season with “King Size Bed,” a new single released October 30. The song draws its title from the Nativity story, finding a royal meaning in a humble manger.
McCreery wrote the track with Brent Anderson, Jeremy Bussey, Monty Criswell, Derek George, Bobby Hamrick and Frank Rogers. Rogers also produced the recording.
For fans putting together this year’s holiday playlist, it brings a new song into the mix alongside the standards. The Christmas story is familiar, but the title offers a simple way to look at it again through a country songwriter’s eyes.
The release follows 15, McCreery’s career retrospective celebrating his 15th anniversary as a recording artist. That project includes “Your Man” with Josh Turner and “Bottle Rockets” with Hootie & The Blowfish.
McCreery also has a December 3 headline show at The Truth in Nashville, which his team describes as his first Nashville headline performance since 2020. Fans can find the current schedule on his official tour page.
“King Size Bed” is available on streaming services now. Visit McCreery’s official news page for the announcement and release details. Here at CountryMusicNewsBlog.com, we’ll take a fresh country Christmas song as a good reason to start making that playlist a little early.
