The Marshall Tucker Band holds the the top spot with “Can’t You See.” Every year the song is included in new major motion picture soundtracks, TV series and commercials and is played thousands of times on Classic Rock radio stations all around the world. “We are over the top with this announcement from Ultimate Classic Rock. It certainly lets us all know that ‘Can’t You See’ is and will continue to be appreciated for a very long time.” -Marshall Tucker Band lead singer and founding member Doug Gray “Can’t You See” was written by the late Toy Caldwell and was originally recorded in 1973. It was later released as a single in 1977 and soared to the top of several national music charts. The iconic southern anthem has been covered by some of the biggest names in the Country and Rock music genres, including Waylon Jennings, Alabama, Poison, Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, the Allman Brothers Band, the Charlie Daniels Band and the Zac Brown Band. “Next time you hear this song in public, take notice and you’ll make the strangest observation, especially if there is booze involved. There seems to be something about this particular song that makes the majority (very ironically) close their eyes and sway their head from left to right while singing the song’s famous ‘Can’t you see’ line. That universal connection earns this song the top spot on our southern rock songs list.” -Ultimate Classic Rock ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK TOP 10 SOUTHERN ROCK SONGS: 10. “Mississippi Queen” – Mountain 9. “30 Days In The Hole” – Humble Pie 8. “Ramblin’ Man” – The Allman Brothers 7. “La Grange” – ZZ Top 6. “Flirtin’ With Disaster” – Molly Hatchet 5. “Long Haired Country Boy” – The Charlie Daniels Band 4. “Highway Song” – Blackfoot 3. “Green Grass & Hight Tides” – The Outlaws 2. “Sweet Home Alabama” – Lynyrd Skynyrd 1. “Can’t You See” – The Marshall Tucker Band

Jason Aldean Caught Cheating

Jason Aldean Caught Canoodling With Woman. Over the weekend, news broke that country music star Jason Aldean had been caught in a very inappropriate situation. The not quite trustworthy and shady in its own right gossip monger, TMZ released photos of Aldean in various phases of flirting, kissing and other PDA with a young woman that was clearly not his wife. This put the country music singer, and up ’til this point CMNB favorite, in a position that made it impossible to deny what he’d done. He owned up to it, siting over intoxication as the culprit, with an apology to fans admitting that he’d been careless. He asked that everyone let him have some privacy to deal with the matter with his family. Here are some things to consider… -He IS a married man. -Along with the majority of his fans, the other woman is aware he IS married. -He did NOT leave with the woman. -This whole mess happened in a VERY public place. Where were his friends, band mates, manager or someone that is closely connected to him when this was happening? Did they not care? Not only that he was disrespecting his wife, but also that he was doing a great deal of damage to his image? The big question is what happens next…will his marriage survive this? Will this cause trouble for his upcoming album release sales? Although this is a private matter, you have to remember that Country Music artist’s private lives are very closely tied to their career. They are known to many as family men or good ole’ boys…they invite fans into their world and whether it is fair or not, fans hold them accountable for ALL of their actions. Take Randy Travis, LeAnn Rimes or Natalie Maines (Dixie Chicks) for example. What do you think? Do you forgive him? Will you still be a fan? Comment below with your opinions.

Reba McEntire Retires From Hosting The ACMs

Reba Will No Longer Host The Academy Of Country Music Awards. Reba McEntire has announced that she will no longer host the Academy of Country Music Awards. She has “passed the torch to Blake,” who she has co-hosted with for the last two years. Before that Reba ran the show solo starting in 1999. Although this is sad news, it is good to hear she is confident that Shelton can get the job done! However, the two did make fans chuckle with their back and forth comedy on the previous years. I have to wonder if she is too busy with her new show Malibu Country or if she just feels it is time to step down? Whatever the case may be, we still love her! Here’s to Reba, a very classy lady!
