Longtime staples of NBC’s THE VOICE, BLAKE SHELTON and CARSON DALY have teamed up to create a new celebrity game show for USA NETWORK called BARMAGEDDON. The two stars will executive produce the show, to be hosted by WWE HALL OF FAME member NIKKI BELLA.
The show will be shot in the downtown NASHVILLE location of SHELTON’s bar chain, OLE RED, according to USA NETWORK, which says the show will “welcome a rowdy crowd for live music sing-alongs and well-loved bar games — with a twist! With DALY behind the bar and SHELTON on stage, BELLA will keep the competition fierce and set the stakes as celebrity friends go head-to-head in games such as Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, Sharts (‘SHELTON Darts), and many more.”
Said SHELTON in a press release, “NASHVILLE is known for great music and hospitality, which makes it the perfect setting. I’m excited about BARMAGEDDN and can’t wait for friends, old and new, to join my buddy CARSON and me for some drinks, music, and high-spirited fun at OLE RED.”
Added DALY, “BLAKE, [co Executive Producer] LEE [METZGER] and I wanted to create a show where the audience can feel like they’re hanging out with us at OLE RED in NASHVILLE, having a drink and cheering on friends as they compete in the ultimate test of athleticism and endurance — bar games!”
USA NETWORK reports that “each episode will see two celebrities play a unique set of five games in the bar … Besties SHELTON and DALY will provide some much-needed words of wisdom — with the occasional good-natured heckling thrown in, of course — to keep the crowd rowdy and the party going.”
No word on when the show is set to debut.
