Just out of high school, Warner Bros. recording artist Blake Shelton left Oklahoma to move to Nashville. Back home at only 16 years old, Shelton had received statewide focus when he won the Denbo Diamond Award, the top award for young Oklahoma entertainers. In Nashville, Shelton was able to get several material published with Naomi Martin Music, Warner/Chappell Music, and Jerry Crutchfield music. Shelton turned his songwriting into a successful recording in 2001 with his debut single, “Austin”; the song eventually spent five weeks at number one. “All Over Me” and “Ol’ Red” followed in 2002, allowing Shelton’s record to go gold. His star power was on the rise and Shelton was as busy as ever. He wasted no time recording a follow-up release. The Dreamer appeared in February 2003, hot on the heels of the Top Ten single “The Baby.” A third album, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill, was put forth in 2004, along with a DVD, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill: A Video Collection. In 2007 he put forth the cleverly titled Pure BS on Warner, came by Startin’ Fires in 2008.

Blake’s latest project is the release of a dual set of “six-packs”. Six tracks per CD at a slightly lower-than average price, including hit tracks like “Hillbilly Bone” featuring Trace Adkins. The “six pack” format bucks traditional album templates and sales models, while allowing fans to get new music more frequently.

Blake Shelton Featured On Christina Aguilera’s Lotus

Blake Shelton Collaborates with Christina Aguilera On Her Upcoming Album, Lotus. Well, Miranda Lambert isn’t the only blonde powerhouse that Blake Shelton is spending time with. He recently teamed up with pop diva and fellow NBC‘s The Voice mentor, Christina Aguilera! Shelton, is featured on one of the 18 tracks, titled “Just A Fool“, and I can’t even begin to imagine what that is going to be like. Other Voice judge, Cee Lo Green also makes a guest appearance on the album. Check out the track listing below, in case you’re interested. The Voice Returns Monday

Who Is Ready To Cheer On Team Blake? NBC’s The Voice will return this coming Monday, September 10, for the third season! All four coaches are back, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine, and are ready to battle it out! Some things have changed, including larger teams (16 singers each), but one thing that will not change is the focus of the show! Everybody get ready to hear some very talented individuals! Blake Shelton Releases Cheers It’s Christmas! Blake Shelton has officially announced that he will be releasing a Christmas album for our 2012 holiday season! In an appropriate turn of events, the title of the album is drink themed: “Cheers It’s Christmas“. The album will include duets with artists like Reba McEntire (not surprising), Michael Buble (a little odd), and Shelton’s mother, Dorothy Shackleford (adorable!). Country music fans can start rocking out to Shelton’s Christmas tunes on October 2nd! You can catch Shelton on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” (tonight!) Tuesday, August 7th!
