Just out of high school, Warner Bros. recording artist Blake Shelton left Oklahoma to move to Nashville. Back home at only 16 years old, Shelton had received statewide focus when he won the Denbo Diamond Award, the top award for young Oklahoma entertainers. In Nashville, Shelton was able to get several material published with Naomi Martin Music, Warner/Chappell Music, and Jerry Crutchfield music. Shelton turned his songwriting into a successful recording in 2001 with his debut single, “Austin”; the song eventually spent five weeks at number one. “All Over Me” and “Ol’ Red” followed in 2002, allowing Shelton’s record to go gold. His star power was on the rise and Shelton was as busy as ever. He wasted no time recording a follow-up release. The Dreamer appeared in February 2003, hot on the heels of the Top Ten single “The Baby.” A third album, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill, was put forth in 2004, along with a DVD, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill: A Video Collection. In 2007 he put forth the cleverly titled Pure BS on Warner, came by Startin’ Fires in 2008.

Blake’s latest project is the release of a dual set of “six-packs”. Six tracks per CD at a slightly lower-than average price, including hit tracks like “Hillbilly Bone” featuring Trace Adkins. The “six pack” format bucks traditional album templates and sales models, while allowing fans to get new music more frequently.

Team Blake Wins The Voice For The Second Year In A Row. Blake Shelton is sure to be one happy camper/hung-over mentor this morning as both the top 2 finalists of The Voice were from his team. Terry McDermott took second place and Cassadee Pope was the winner for season 3! We are all very happy for Mr. Shelton, being part of the country music family and all, but also have some love for Ms. Pope. She won many over this season with her ballads and rocker songs, but especially perked up the ears of some country fans with certain song selections. Shelton said numerous times that Pope could perform country songs so well, because she was able to connect with the lyrics. Well connect she did, nailing “Over You,” “Stand,” “Stupid Boy” and “Cry.” Congratulations to her and the rest of the team members and coaches! The Voice Season 3 Winner Sing “Cry“!

Blake Shelton Christmas Special Airs Next Week December 3rd

Blake Shelton’s “Not So Family Christmas” Special Airs On NBC Next Week, December 3rd! I generally like to wait until after Thanksgiving to get in the Christmas spirit, and tuning in to Blake Shelton‘s Christmas Special on Monday, December 3rd is going to be a great way to kick off this month’s festivities! Since The Voice is going so well for Shelton, it makes complete sense the network would give him a time slot for a Holiday special, and it looks like its gonna be pretty good! The TV holiday show is humorously titled “Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas“, and will feature performances tunes from his recently released Christmas album, “Cheers, Its Christmas” including duets with Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson and (adorably) his mother, Dorothy Shackleford! That already sounds like a great program to me, but there’s more. Comedians Jay Leno and Larry the Cable Guy and The Voice coach Christina Aguilera will making appearances for comedy sketches throughout the show. Blake Shelton Featured On Christina Aguilera’s Lotus

Blake Shelton Collaborates with Christina Aguilera On Her Upcoming Album, Lotus. Well, Miranda Lambert isn’t the only blonde powerhouse that Blake Shelton is spending time with. He recently teamed up with pop diva and fellow NBC‘s The Voice mentor, Christina Aguilera! Shelton, is featured on one of the 18 tracks, titled “Just A Fool“, and I can’t even begin to imagine what that is going to be like. The Voice Returns Monday

Who Is Ready To Cheer On Team Blake? NBC’s The Voice will return this coming Monday, September 10, for the third season! All four coaches are back, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine, and are ready to battle it out! Some things have changed, including larger teams (16 singers each), but one thing that will not change is the focus of the show! Everybody get ready to hear some very talented individuals! Here is a sneak peak of what is to come!

Blake Shelton Releases Cheers It’s Christmas! Blake Shelton has officially announced that he will be releasing a Christmas album for our 2012 holiday season! In an appropriate turn of events, the title of the album is drink themed: “Cheers It’s Christmas“. The album will include duets with artists like Reba McEntire (not surprising), Michael Buble (a little odd), and Shelton’s mother, Dorothy Shackleford (adorable!). Country music fans can start rocking out to Shelton’s Christmas tunes on October 2nd! You can catch Shelton on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” (tonight!) Tuesday, August 7th!
