CARRIE UNDERWOOD EXTENDS SPECTACULAR TOUR THROUGH FALL 2016 The Storyteller Tour- Stories in the Round Tickets on sale April 8 Nashville, TN – (March 31, 2016) – Seven-time Grammy winner and ACM Female Vocalist of t he Year nominee Carrie Underwood has just announced The Storyteller Tour- Stories in the Round will extend through the fall including stops in Los Angeles (STAPLES Center), Nashville (Bridgestone Arena), and New York City (Madison Square Garden). The in-the-round arena tour launched to rave reviews in January and has already played sold out shows across the U.S., including a crowd of over 17,000 at Boston’s TD Garden. Carrie recently returned from Europe where she played five shows in five countries, each part of Country to Country Festival (C2C). “I always love being on the road performing for my fans,” shares Underwood, “but something about this tour feels more magnetic than ever. Having a 360-degree view of the audience gives me the opportunity to connect with more fans and feed off their energy. I can’t wait to continue this tour into the fall!” Concert review critics have applauded Underwood’s confidence and command over the massive stage that spans the entire length of the arena floor. The Washing ton Post claimed she’s “at the top of her game,” and the Hampton Daily Press said the show’s “presentation is overwhelming, from start to finish- a spectacular sensory overload that had the crowd roaring all night long.” Rollingstonecountry.com praised “the in-the-round setting provides each concertgoer with the best experience possible. Simpler still is the storytelling aspect of the show and country music’s reliance on conveying memorable stories in song.” The Boston Globe stated, Underwood “demonstrated that she now truly can stare unflinchingly into those lights and dominate a stage, with a confidence, defiance, and a sense of ownership that have been a treat to watch come to fruition. A rock-solid, deftly sequenced hour-and-45-minue long set, which moved from playful to solemn, smooth to twangy, and from cinematic scope to smaller, intimate moments. The mo st stunning part of the production however, remains Underwood’s voice, strong and nuanced.” The North American tour, promoted by AEG Live, will include special guests Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers. Tickets will be available for The Storyteller Tour beginning Friday, April 8 at 10am local time at www.aeglive.com. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets for the U.S. shows before the general public beginning Monday, April 4th at noon local time through Thursday, April 7th at 10 p.m. local time. Carrie Underwood Announces “Storyteller” Album and Tour!

Carrie Underwood recently took part in an online chat on her official Facebook page, where the seven-time GRAMMY® winner revealed information about her upcoming fifth studio album. Titled Storyteller, and set for release on October 23, the album includes tracks produced by Jay Joyce, Mark Bright, and Zach Crowell. Storyteller will launch with the single “Smoke Break,” which was delivered digitally to country radio today for an official airplay impact date of August 24. Produced by Jay Joyce, “Smoke Break” was written by Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and Chris DeStefano, with whom Underwood wrote her most recent #1 smash, “Little Toy Guns.” About the new single, Underwood says that the title isn’t necessarily meant to be literal, as she shares, “It’s basically an anthem for every hard-working person. We all wear many hats and are spread thin, so we can all relate to being tired and needing a break. This song is about having that moment to be able to escape from whatever it is that’s stressing you out and have some time for yourself.” The digital single for “Smoke Break” will be available beginning 11 PM CT tonight, August 20 (midnight ET).

With live performances from the heavy hitters all week long, this festival is the country music mecca… a pilgrimage for the whole family to share the passion of music row. And topping the list of events this week is none other than the CMT Music Awards, hosted at Bridgestone arena, and broadcast live on CMT! CMT Music Awards 2015 Performer Line-up: CMT kicks off the summer with the 2015 CMT Music Awards live in Nashville on Wednesday, June 10, with Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow hosting. Carrie Underwood, Reba, Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Sam Hunt, Zac Brown Band, A Thousand Horses, Chris Janson, Frankie Ballard, Kelsea Ballerini, Maddie and Tae and RaeLynn are scheduled to perform. This will be Carrie Underwood’s first official post-baby performance and one hell of an indicator to how her upcoming tour production will look. She’s also in the lead with the most award nominations this year, so that takes a lot of pressure off Mrs. Shelton and might give her a summer to recoup and rebuild her next big move. Rumor also has it that Kieth Urban is even debuting a brand new song during his moment in that spotlight! CMT Music Awards 2015 Hosting Sneak Peek: Now in an ever-growing trend of non-musicians hosting our award shows, this year we have Dancing With The Stars host Erin Andrews and actress Brittany Snow working the mic. While many complain because we love having just that much more time with our favorite artists on screen, our team would like to note that not all artists are comfortable reading cue cards and stiffly delivering pre-written jokes, so I’ll take the actress and friend over another Trace Adkins year. 2015 CMT Music Awards Nominees: Video of the Year Carrie Underwood, “Something in the Water” Darius Rucker, “Homegrown Honey” Dierks Bentley, “Drunk on a Plane” Florida Georgia Line, “Dirt” Jason Aldean, “Burnin’ It Down” Kenny Chesney, “American Kids” Lady Antebellum, “Bartender” Lee Brice, “I Don’t Dance” Luke Bryan, “Play It Again” Maddie & Tae, “Girl in a Country Song” Miranda Lambert with Carrie Underwood, “Somethin’ Bad” Sam Hunt, “Leave the Night On” Male Video of the Year Dierks Bentley, “Drunk on a Plane” Eric Church, “Talladega” Jason Aldean, “Burnin’ It Down” Keith Urban, “Somewhere in My Car” Kenny Chesney, “American Kids” Luke Bryan, “Play It Again” Female Video of the Year Carrie Underwood, “Little Toy Guns” Carrie Underwood, “Something in the Water” Lee Ann Womack, “The Way I’m Livin’” Miranda Lambert, “Little Red Wagon” RaeLynn, “God Made Girls” Reba, “Going Out Like That” Group Video of the Year A Thousand Horses, “Smoke” Eli Young Band, “Dust” Lady Antebellum, “Bartender” Little Big Town, “Day Drinking” The Band Perry, “Chainsaw” Zac Brown Band, Continue reading CMT Music Awards 2015 – Viewer Guide

Carrie Underwood Two Black Cadillacs Video Review

Carrie Underwood’s Two Black Cadillacs Video Takes Fans Down A Strange and Winding Road. I’m pretty disappointed in Carrie Underwood‘s new video for single, “Two Black Cadillacs.” Yep, I said it. The song was released as the third single from her most recent album Blown Away back in November, with the video reportedly being filmed then too, but even just two weeks ago Carrie was claiming on Twitter that they were still editing, trying to make it perfect. So as a result, there were pretty high expectations for this video! …And then I watched it. Too Long. At 5 minutes 47 seconds, this is a long music video, but it had been announced that it’d be shot as a short film. S,o I was prepared for the standard couple-of-minute-long intro without music, plus maybe a section around the bridge where the music cut out for another short scene. This is a formula that has been tried and tested and it works. However, what proceeded was not as it should have been. It begins dramatically and suspensefully with expected scenes of winter and a lonely Cadillac come into view. There’s some creepy piano music that I don’t think was necessary but it works okay within the context. However, instead of allowing the suspense to linger and to draw it out properly to instigate a mood, the song kicks in just 20 seconds into the video, and you’re left wondering what they’re going to do with the time. Too Confusing. Much of the first half of the song is filled with multiple-angled shots (including many close-ups) of Carrie driving the Cadillac, the wintery desolate environment, and the funeral. As it progresses, we get a few brief shots of the Cadillac in a different setting, at night, driving down an alley in a city with the headlights beaming on a couple meeting for an embrace, presumably the cheating husband and mistress. Carrie plays the mistress, with another similar-looking actress playing the wife. There’s some lovely scenery, good graphics, great outfits (Carrie is a vampy mistress), nice close-up shots and some well-timed interplay between the two opposing scenes. However, for me, it’s far too slow, there’s too much of the same thing, and I feel like there should be a lot more content. Slowly but surely, we get some plot narrative, with the briefest of shots depicting the wife chasing her husband in one of the Cadillacs during the night scene. It is implied that due to the blasé attitude of the mistress when the Cadillac turns up that Carrie is a decoy for the wife to corner the cheater. Too Strange Suddenly, however, after the end of the third chorus, the music dies down and the sinister piano music from the beginning returns. Although we don’t see the cheating husband being run over, it is implied and there’s even a token ‘crash’ sound against a black screen. I’m already feeling that they’ve ruined the momentum of the song at this point. The piano Continue reading Carrie Underwood Two Black Cadillacs Video Review
