Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert at the Grammys

Country music gets represented well at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards! This Sunday the world will tune in the The Grammy Awards on CBS to see who wins some of the industry’s top honors for the last year and who gives some of the hottest performances. Representing our little corner of the world will be Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert, the only two country music acts to grab a spotlight during the broadcast. Martina McBride will also pop in for a part in a fantastic Aretha Franklin tribute. The 53rd annual Grammy Awards show will air on CBS at 7 p.m. Central, and numerous local artists are nominated during the Pre-Telecast Ceremony, which will be streamed live at www.grammy.com/live from 3–6 p.m. Central.

Tune into SiriusXM’s The Highway for special guest hosts, Lady Antebellum! Good morning, Lady Antebellum fans! On Friday, December 10th at 8pm EST, Lady A takes the wheel and will be a guest DJ on SIRIUS XM The Highway. They’ll play some of their own hits as well as their personal favorites. CMT Artists of the Year 2010

CMT set to honor the 2010 CMT Artists of the Year, promising “this is NOT another award show!”. CMT has announced that on December 3rd, 2010 they will be airing a special 90minute celebration, honoring the top 5 artists of the year. The artists are chosen based on album and download sales, radio airplay, online activity, and touring. Producers brag that this is not another award show, instead offering an intimate and worm setting, with a variety of performances and tributes to the industry’s finest. Make no mistake: This is not an awards show or a competition, but a year-end party on a grand scale,” said John Hamlin, senior vice president, music events and talent, CMT. “CMT ARTISTS OF THE YEAR celebrates the artists that made this year a great one for country music.
