LORRIE MORGAN TO RELEASE FIRST SOLO ALBUM IN FIVE YEARS

LORRIE MORGAN TO RELEASE FIRST SOLO ALBUM IN FIVE YEARS Letting Go… Slow Out February 12 on Shanachie Entertainment “I have been a daughter, a bride, a mother, a divorcee, a widow, a single mother, a grandmother, a breadwinner, and, ultimately a survivor. It seems, in many ways, I am a living, breathing country song, and I know what I sing.” – Lorrie Morgan NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 21, 2015) – Lorrie Morgan dominated the 90s with top-charting hits like “What Part Of No,” “Except For Monday,” “Five Minutes,” and “Watch Me,” and celebrates a career spanning four decades with over 8 million albums sold. A multiple Female Vocalist Of The Year Award-Winner, she is the first female country star in history to have ever garnered three consecutive albums certified Platinum. In 2016, the country music songstress is back with her first solo album in five years. Morgan will release Letting Go… Slow on February 12, 2016 on Shanachie Entertainment. The album follows her collaboration album, Dos Divas, released with Pam Tillis in 2013. [bctt tweet=”@TheLorrieMorgan to release first solo album in five years February 12, 2016 on @ShanachieEnt! #LettingGoSlow”] Letting Go… Slow features 12 tracks, some upbeat and sassy like her top hits “What Part Of No,” and “Five Minutes,” others pensive and heart-rending. Produced by Richard Landis, (whose credits include some of Morgan’s top hits, Vince Gill, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), the album seemingly takes on some of Morgan’s most challenging life experiences through song in soulful ballads like “What I’d Say,” “Slow,” and a powerful cover of Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers’ “I’ve Done Enough Dying Today.” She’s witty and radiant on “Jesus and Hairspray,” embraces the classic country sound on “Strange,” and expands her musical depth on a cover of Bob Dylan’s classic, “Lay Lady Lay.” The keen production on each track highlights her signature vocals, which have long been praised by critics. “There’s a dark grain to her voice, a fine, sandpaper edge that imbues her strong, clear pipes with subtle grit. She’s one of the most distinctive singers of contemporary country, a subtle interpreter who is at her best when explicating sorrows large and small,” wrote CMT. American Music Channel added, “Veterans of the singing business shouldn’t look nor sound as good as Lorrie Morgan, but then again, she was never exactly your typical Nashville singer.” The daughter of late country star George Morgan, Morgan made her Opry debut at the age of 13 and was one of the youngest to ever be inducted as a lifetime member, at age 24. She celebrated multiple top-charting hits including “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” “I Guess You Had To Be There,” “Something In Red,” among many others. She is a four-time Female Vocalist Of The Year Award-Winner, and in 1994, she garnered CMA’s Album Of The Year Award for Common Thread. In 1990, Morgan and her late husband, Keith Whitley, took home the CMA Award for Vocal Event Of The Year for “Til A Continue reading LORRIE MORGAN TO RELEASE FIRST SOLO ALBUM IN FIVE YEARS

The songs’ appeal is further elevated by the band’s three-part vocal harmonies and elaborate arrangements that make judicious use of fiddle and added percussion. Kenny Chesney Hits Billboard’s Top 5 2015 Tours

Kenny Chesney Joins Billboard’s Top 5 2015 Tours as Only Country Act Along w Taylor Swift, 1-D, U2 & the Stones NEW YORK, N.Y. – (Dec. 15, 2015) – When Kenny Chesney took his 2015 The Big Revival Tour on the road, he wanted to rock as many people as humanly possible. With just 57 dates, albeit 23 stadiums, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” was the only country act making Billboard’s Top 5 Touring Acts of 2015 – alongside Taylor Swift, One Direction, U2 and the Rolling Stones. Beyond the dollars, Chesney played to the third highest number of fans – 1,335,022 – after list-topper Swift’s 1,982,076 for 71 shows and No. 2 One Direction’s 2,337,938 for 80 shows. Summer after summer, the 4-time Country Music Association and 4-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year remains focused on rocking the No Shoes Nation for all they’re worth. “Every year when we hit the road, I’m trying to figure out how to bring it harder, play more music and make it a night the people who live their lives in the songs will remember,” says the high-impact songwriter who’s sold in excess of a million tickets each of his 13 headlining tours since 2002. “We’ve been doing this enough years, that you know you have to really bring it to just compete with what you’ve already done. And it’s about the music you’re making now, as well as the ability to bring it when you hit the stage every night.” Hailed as “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” by The Dallas Morning News, Chesney’s The Big Revival broke nine records this summer – including several of his own – one being 120,206 fans over two nights at Gillette Stadium, marking his 12th and 13th show at the home of the New England Patriots. “People want to rock, to have a good time and forget their problems,” Chesney explains. “But they’re not looking to mindlessly spend the night. They come to remember the moments that mattered to them – and maybe make a few more memories in the process – and I’ve been lucky that my songs have reflected how the No Shoes Nation lives their lives on every level.” Having a new record that yielded four consecutive No. 1’s doesn’t hurt. In addition to the GRAMMY- and CMA-nominated, multiple-week No. 1 “American Kids,” he had “Til It’s Gone,” the CMA Musical Event nominee “Wild Child” with Grace Potter and the three week chart-topper “Save It for a Rainy Day,” all songs that show his creative fire matches his unrelenting passion for his near legendary live shows. The Big Revival also is the eighth time Chesney has won Top Package at Billboard’s annual Touring Awards. The man, who has brought Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley out with him, tapped Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Old Dominion, Cole Continue reading Kenny Chesney Hits Billboard’s Top 5 2015 Tours
