Trace Adkins Announces Album Title At CMA Fest

Trace Adkins Fills Fans In On Upcoming Album Title During CMA Fest Performance. Trace Adkins announced the title of his upcoming album, Proud To Be Here, during his CMA Music Festival performance in Nashville this weekend. The album features his touching and sweet new single “Just Fishin’” about a father and daughter relationship. Proud To Be Here will also feature 9 other tracks, and the deluxe edition will offer fans 4 more songs on top of that including a duet with Blake Shelton title “If I Was A Woman“. Adkins’ family recently suffered a huge loss as their home caught fire on June 4th, and was deemed a total loss. Thankfully, the family including their pets are all safe. Adkins has suggested that the choice of title for this album, though chosen before these events occurred, has taken on a new meaning. “Proud To Be Here was chosen as the album title some weeks ago because it’s how I’ve felt ever since my first album release and during every milestone since…The title song could have been based on my life and it’s about narrow escapes and the grace that guides you through. Obviously, now after the fire, Proud To Be Here takes on an even greater significance. Once again, I’ve been blessed and everyone is safe.” -Trace Adkins In response to the outpouring of concern from fans, Trace has requested they redirect their support through the American Red Cross and CMT One Country. The album is set to release on August 2nd, and pre-sale of the deluxe edition will be available on iTunes July 12th.

Trace Adkins House Fire

Trace Adkins’ Tragic House Fire Devours Home. On Saturday, tragedy struck Trace Adkins‘ family as a fire demolished the country star’s 5,000 square foot home in Brentwood, TN. Adkins was away from the house on a flight to Alaska, and he did not receive the news until the plane landed and security met him at the gate to relay the information. The family resided in the home for the past eleven years, and the fire damage is being called a total loss. However, it was the property which was damaged, but not anyone in the family. Two of the Adkins’ children were in the house along with the families nanny who helped get the children to safety. Also, the family’s dog was rescued from the fire. Despite the devastation of the events Adkins’ wife, Rhonda is maintaining a strong perspective. “You can replace things, not people. I’m just glad that my children are safe.” -Rhonda Adkins It is known so far that the fire began in the garage, but the exact cause has still not been determined. There are several possibilities including a dryer explosion, and a complication with electrical work being done in the garage. Regardless, this a painful experience, and our hearts go out to the Adkins family.

Trace Adkins Just Fishin’ Video

Trace Adkins Releases Video for Latest Single Just Fishin’. Trace Adkins latest single “Just Fishin’” is a far cry from his more wild songs like “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk“! As much as we love those (and we do), it’s nice to have the change of pace, and see Trace showcase his softer side. Similar to “You’re Gonna Miss This“, this latest single takes on a paternal and loving tone, and highlights just how fast things can pass us by. So far, “Just Fishin’” which was released late March, has received favorable attention. The video debuted Friday, June 3rd, and it is nothing short of adorable (if you can use the term adorable about a big man like Trace). It features scenes of a “father” and “daughter” spending the day together at the lake, and appropriately mirrors the themes expressed in the lyrics. “Just Fishin’” is featured on Adkins upcoming album, Proud To Be Here, which is due out on August 2. You can check out the video here! Just Fishin’ – Trace Adkins – Trace Adkins Videos
