Taylor Swift is awarded the 2011 ACM Entertainer of the Year! Hot off the heels of an international tour, Taylor Swift takes top honors tonight as your new fan-voted 2011 ACM Entertainer of the Year! With her album Speak Now breaking every record in the book, and her tours selling out within minutes of being announced, it’s no surprise that Taylor takes the trophy this year. Taylor will continue to tour the US All summer long, but now has some extra accolades to take with her. Congratulations Taylor and all the other nominees.

Jason Aldean Chooses “Dirt Road Anthem” For 3rd Single Release! The popular Jason Aldean, currently up for ACM “Entertainer of the Year” and “Male Vocalist of the Year” has decided to release the already fan favorite “Dirt Road Anthem” as the 3rd single on his wildly successful platinum selling album, My Kinda Party. With rifts of rapidly and rhythmically delivered lyrics this particular song is a little different than the average country song incorporating a style usually associated with rap music. But the important thing is it works for Jason and especially it works for fans. “I know we’re pushing some boundaries with a song like this, but I also think people expect that from me now. Lee Brice Featured on Special ACM Edition of The Price Is Right. Lee Brice, who is currently competing in the “Song of the Year” and “Single of the Year” categories for his record-breaking single, “Love Like Crazy“, popped by The Price Is Right to participate in a special edition shoot dedicated to the upcoming 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Brice had the opportunity to perform a song as well as present great prizes featuring all things country music. One of the prizes includes an acoustic guitar along with lessons. There is also a showcase featuring a stereo system, a new Dodge Ram truck, and a trip to Baton Rouge to attend Bayou Country Superfest, a two day country music festival featuring Lee Brice. As if that isn’t awesome enough winners of the showcase also get two tickets to attend, live in Las Vegas, the 46th Annual ACM Awards. 2011 Academy of Country Music off-camera Special Awards announced! In a special off-camera presentation, several country stars were given top honors by the 2011 ACM Award committee. Congratulations are in order for Taylor Swift for winning the Jim Reeves International Award! Reba McEntire was crowned with the Career Achievement Award! The movie Country Strong took home the Tex Ritter Award this year! And Garth Brooks takes home a Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award! Little Big Town takes over TV Tuesday! Little Big Town is scheduled to appear for the first time on CBS’ The Talk on Tuesday, March 29 before joining CONAN on TBS for a performance of their current single, “The Reason Why”. Don’t forget to either tune in or set your DVRs! We’re really looking forward to playing CONAN again as well as visiting The Talk for the first time. We’ll be singing the new single ‘The Reason Why,’” said the band’s Karen Fairchild. “It’s gonna be a great week leading up to the ACM’s. Following their performances on The Talk and CONAN, Little Big Town will join the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 3 before hitting the road again on April 5 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
