Nominations Announced for “55th Academy of Country Music Awards™”

ENCINO, CA (February 27, 2020) – The Academy of Country Music® announced today the nominations for the 55TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS™, Country Music’s Party of the Year®, honoring the biggest names and emerging talent in the Country Music industry. Reigning ACM® Entertainer of the Year and 15-time ACM Award®-winner Keith Urban will host the show for the first time. The 55th ACM Awards® will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 5 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on-demand across digital platforms on the CBS All Access subscription service.

Miranda Lambert made country music history following the 53rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15th. The country mega-star now stands as the most decorated artist in ACM history with a collective 32 career wins. Lambert won three awards during last night’s show including her ninth consecutive “Female Vocalist of the Year” award and two for “Song of the Year” for her emotionally-raw hit “Tin Man” (songwriter and performer) from her Platinum double-album The Weight of These Wings. “I cannot believe this, I really can’t,” Lambert said. “I love country music. It’s my entire life, and the fact that you all care so much about what I’m doing, I’ll never take it for granted.” Lambert also stunned in the performance of her newest single, “Keeper of the Flame,” which hits radio on April 30th. The single is her latest from the powerhouse double-album, The Weight of These Wings. This summer, Lambert alongside award-winning group Little Big Town, will be hitting the road in their co-headlining, The Bandwagon Tour, which kicks off on July 12th in Charlotte, NC. The tour will travel along the U.S. Atlantic seaboard, Southeast andMidwest regions. Early 2018 ACM Award Winners Announced!

Congratulations are in order for Lauren Alaina, Midland and Brett Young! The Academy announced this morning that the three have been named New Female Vocalist of the Year, New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year and New Male Vocalist of the Year, respectively. Alaina, Midland and Young received the news via a surprise phone call from this year’s ACM Awards host Reba McEntire. In addition to receiving their first-ever ACM Award wins, they will also be performing at the ACM Awards show for the first time on Sunday, April 15th in Las Vegas.   Watch the moment they heard the good news! Chesney, Shelton, Urban, And Lady A Join Performance Lineup For ‘ACM Awards’

KENNY CHESNEY, BLAKE SHELTON, KEITH URBAN, and LADY ANTEBELLUM have been added to the lineup of performers slated to appear at the “53RD ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS.” They join previously announced performers JASON ALDEAN, KELSEA BALLERINI, DIERKS BENTLEY, LUKE BRYAN, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, MIRANDA LAMBERT, MAREN MORRIS, and THOMAS RHETT (NET NEWS 3/7). Set for SUNDAY, APRIL 15th at the MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA in LAS VEGAS, the show will be broadcast live on CBS-TV. REBA MCENTIRE will serve as host, and additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Academy of Country Music® announced the Studio Recording Award winners for the 52ND ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS™. The Studio Recording Award winners will be honored during the 11th ANNUAL ACM HONORS™, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.
