Brad Paisley’s New Album Play In Stores Today!

Brad Paisley is proud to release his new album “Play” to stores today! This album focuses on Brad’s amazing guitar skills and features collaborations with other chart-topping artists like Keith Urban, Buck Owens, Steve Wariner, BB King and even Andy Griffith. Each track brings forth little pieces of Paisley’s heart and soul. My personal favorites so far are tied between “Kim” which somehow pulls my heartstrings without a word, and the playful intro to “Start a Band” where you can hear him laughing about dropping his guitar pick into the body of the guitar which is something I’ve done more times than I can count. Now my question is, with the obvious skill, top names, and excellent musicianship on the instrumental tracks of this album, how many tracks do YOU think will get national radio airplay? I believe that Brad Paisley’s “Play” album sets the stage for a resurgence in skilled guitarists taking the spotlight in pop country, which is something I’ve sorely missed. Brad Paisley Introduces New Album Titled Play

Brad Paisley announces the completion of his instrumental album with a simple title of just “Play”. The long-awaited instrumental album from crooner and plucker Brad Paisley has finally finished the recording stage. Brad excitedly explains that he believes modern day music doesn’t have nearly enough guitar heroes making hit records these days. ” There was a time when every band had a great player,” he said. “I was watching VH1’s I Love The ’80s. They’ve got the hair bands on there. They were talking about 1985. There was so much guitar. These days, it’s different. There’s a lack. I’m doing my part, trying to play as many solos as possible.” Brad Paisley has definitely fullfilled that need, often filling his stage shows with amazing guitar work, and inspiring young musicians across the world to pick up their guitars and just cut loose. You may even recall that though Brad Paisley is no stranger to #1 singles, his first Grammy win was for his instrumental performance “Throttleneck” off the album “5th Gear”. this groundbreaking album boasts such guest performances as Vince Gill, Steve Wariner, B.B. King, and even a little from legendary Buck Owens. The album “will surprise people,” Brad told The Charlotte Observer. “It’s not all country. We do everything from jazz guitar to one [song] that’s very heavy metal.” Brad plans on heading back to the studio for his next album this fall after completing his current Paisley Party Tour with Jewel, Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough.Country Music Photo Gallery

The ACM Winners are…

The 2008 ACM Awards are done and we’ve got your winners right here! Winners of the 2008 Academy of Country Music awards got to party it up Vegas style as they celebrated another year of milestones and fan appreciation. Reba McEntire hosted the festivities and as always, the winners were gracious, and excited. “A singer is nothing without inspiration. I thank my wonderful wife, Kim, who is not here tonight. I probably ought to thank my son for the first time for inspiration. I am so honored to carry the torch another year, and thank God for all the blessings in my life.”-Brad Paisley “There are so many people who deserve to be thanked for this, but I am going to thank one. And that’s a person that used to love to go to lunch with her friends and cook dinner for her family and sleep in her bed every night. She gave that all away and left that all behind to go on the road with her 16-year-old daughter. … And then she was sleeping in rental cars and in airplanes and rental cars with her mouth wide open because she was so tired. And so Mom, thank you so much! I love you! This is for you!” – Taylor Swift “It means so much to me that you guys really relate to this song and that you accept it. Thank you so much to my partner Kristian Bush and to Gail Gelman [manager] for believing in this song before anybody did. Thank you to Luke Lewis and your whole staff at Mercury to have big ones enough, that when we came to you and said, ‘Hey, let’s put a song without drums on the radio,’ you said, ‘Sure!’” Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland Album of the Year: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Miranda Lambert Entertainer of the year: Kenny Chesney Single of the Year: “Stay,” Sugarland Song of the Year: “Stay,” Sugarland (Jennifer Nettles, composer) Top Female Vocalist: Carrie Underwood Top Male Vocalist: Brad Paisley Top New Duo or Vocal Group: Lady Antebellum Top New Male Vocalist: Jack Ingram Top new New Female Vocalist: Taylor Swift Top Vocal Duo: Brooks & Dunn Top Vocal Group: Rascal Flatts Video of the Year: “Online,” Brad Paisley (Jason Alexander, director) Vocal Event of the Year: “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” Tracy Lawrence with Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney For a full recap of all the winners presented on and offstage, visit the ACM’s official website.Country Music Photo Gallery

Brad Paisley is On the Road Again

Brad Paisley talks about winning awards and hittin the road for “The Paisley Party” “Personally, I like winning awards — they’re extremely valuable over the course of one’s career,” Paisley tells Copley News Service interview. He added,”…Nor do I have time to dust or polish the statuettes, so my parents take care and display most of them at their house. Somehow they keep track of it all.” Brad Paisley is a four-time Academy of Country Music nominee this year, including Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for 5th Gear, and Video of the Year for “Online”. After the May 18 show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paisley will spend some time at his home in Tennessee before heading back out on the road. The Paisley Party, which fires up in Albuquerque, NM June 11, is a six-month national tour, and a part of the music biz that Paisley loves. “True, it can separate you for a little too long from family and friends, but I really love it on the road,” he said. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that his tour bus, nicknamed Air Force One, reportedly comes with every amenity, including a full-size kitchen and satellite television. Country Music News in a Flash: Little Paisley’s First Step, Craig Morgan Leaves Broken Bow Records, and Underwood Makes Idol Proud

Brad Paisley may have won the first Grammy award of his career on Sunday night, honoring his instrumental “Throttleneck.” But Brad had more important things to celebrate: He’d just witnessed his son, William Huckleberry Paisley, taking his very first steps! “Fatherhood is amazing,” he told Access Hollywood on the red carpet. “He’s basically walking as of [Saturday]. It’s the Otis Campbell of ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ walk: Every day it’s different.” Little Paisley will celebrate his first birthday February 22nd and certainly will have many more milestones to come! Craig Morgan Has chosen to leave Broken Bow Records, although the reason is not yet clear. Craig first signed with Broken Bow in 2000 and has since produced hits like “Redneck Yacht Club”, “International Harvester” and “Little Bit Of Life”. Carrie Underwood‘s Grammy performance seemed to cause a spike in record sales pushing her to sales of “Some Hearts” to6.26 million after she sang her hit “Before He Cheats” on the nationally televised awards ceremony. This makes her the top selling American Idol to date! Carrie is currently touring with Keith Urban on the “Love Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride” tour. That’s it for today’s news, but keep in touch… there’s always more where this came from!
