ABC Airs CMA Close Up Special As Preview to Award Show. The networks know that country fans are excited about the upcoming CMA Awards. So, they are offering fans a little something to hold them over till the big day. Local ABC affiliates will air a special “CMA Close Up Presents Road To The CMA Awards” between October 28th and November 9th. This half hour special will showcase the nominees from the various categories for the 45th Annual CMA Awards. Interviews with Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Kristin Chenowith and Little Big Town are among the list of interviewees. These country stars will share tidbits like their favorite memories of past CMA Awards and give insight into what its like to be honored with a nomination! Be sure to check local listings for dates and times to catch this special programming! The 2011 CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 9th on ABC at 7pm, and will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts Added to the Already Impressive CMA Awards Line-up The Country Music Association just keeps adding more and more incentive for country music fans to tune into the annual awards show in November! It has been announced that Kenny Chesney will be performing his nominated song “You and Tequila” with Grace Potter! Additionally, Rascal Flatts will be performing their current single, the collaboration with Natasha Beddingfield, “Easy“. They are joining a performance line-up that already includes hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley giving their hit “Remind Me” it’s live debut. Also, Faith Hill will be doing a debut of her own, showcasing her first new music in over five years with single, “Come Home“. The line-up will also feature Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban! Faith Hill Debuts Brand New Single at 2011 CMA Awards! We have been wondering for awhile what in the world Faith Hill has been up to lately, and now finally, there is a little news floating around the country music circuit about her! Faith will be performing her brand new single titled “Come Home” from her upcoming album which is due out next year. The last Hill released any new music was in 2005 with her Fireflies album. Granted she has release a couple of “hits” albums, but this is the first we’ve heard of new music in over six years. Faith’s publicity haven’t released any other details about the album yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as they do. The 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, November 9th at 8/7CT on ABC!

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will Perform Remind Me at CMA Awards! The November 9th, 2011 CMA Awards show will officially mark the first live performance of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood‘s duet Remind Me! So, this is turning out to be quite a busy night for both Paisley and Underwood! In addition to this performance, don’t forget that the pair are reprising last year’s role as hosts for the award show. Also, Paisley has been nominated in a total of five categories and Carrie is nominated for the female vocalist category! I hope they both get plenty of rest the night before the show! Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood Host Country Countdown USA in Run-up to CMAs. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be joining host Lon Helton on the September 24th/25th edition of Country Countdown USA. In addition to helping countdown the week’s top country radio hits, Brad and Carrie will share tidbits and stories from their lives! Brad will clue in fans on how he got Carrie interested in recording their current hit single duet “Remind Me“. Carrie will give insight into her experiences singing with other iconic singers like rocker Stephen Tyler and crooner Tony Bennett. Country Countdown USA is recorded live each week on Nashville’s historic Music Row, and counts down each week’s Top 30! Brad is currently wrapping up his H20II-Tour with Blake Shelton this week, and both Brad and Carrie are gearing up to co-host the CMA Awards in November!

CMA Announces First Performers

First Round of Performers for 2011 CMA Awards Announced! The 45th Annual CMA Awards are quickly approaching, and there is much chatter all over the industry about all the details from nominations to possible performances to this year’s hosts! We heard weeks ago that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be reprising their roles of host from the 2010 CMA Awards, and the nominations for all twelve categories were announced just a week or so ago. (Click here to see more on the nominations!) Now, slowly but surely, the list of performers anticipated for the show are starting to be announced as well. We just got news of the first round of performances confirmed, and I do not think you will be disappointed! All five of the artists nominated in the “Entertainer of the Year” category, and this includes Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. Also of note, four of the nominees, basically everyone except Keith Urban, all earned five nominations this year! The 2011 CMA Awards will take place on November 9th, and air on ABC at 8PM ET. Tickets for the 45th Annual CMA Awards go on sale on Saturday, September 24th at 10:00AM CT.
